Paradise on the beach.

Jan 19th, 2020

Melia Nassau Beach Resort is a gem. Situated in the heart of Cable Beach it is a sprawling facility that has one of the nicest beaches on New Providence Island. The Melia, formerly the Sheraton and the Radisson, and before that the Crystal Palace, is an all inclusive resort. Fortunately, service, food, and liquor are top notch for an all inclusive resort. My wife and I have been vacationing there over the New Year's holiday since it was a Radisson and appreciate the improvements that have been made over the years. We especially love that, although this is a busy time of year, the staff seems to be able to handle number of people staying there. We noticed many families with children as well as young couples and the senior set. It was a good mix and no where near as crowded as the Atlantis. Nassau is easy to get to from the US and Canada and the Melia is a good value. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Esta Vida

Awesome dinner at Esta Vida on our second night! Our server Denia was super cool and attentive and we will come back because of her. We look forward to visiting again in the near future. Great food all around. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

East Wing Rooms

Jan 19th, 2020

We are currently staying at Meliá on day 5 of our 8 day stay. I cannot say enough about the food, the locals and the service, but I’m on vacation and would love to be able to sleep! Our room is located on the east side of the property and we are woken up every morning by construction no later than 630am. This morning it was a crane at 430am beeping and flashing lights! My husband said don’t complain because the hotel won’t care...we paid a lot of money to be here and I’d rather be on the beach during the day instead of napping! So if you book here ask for your room to be on the west wing or far away from the construction area! It would be nice to have some type of compensation for all the disruption! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice hotel, great staff

Jan 19th, 2020

We stayed 1-9 to 1-14. Check in was quick and efficient. We arrived before 3 so grabbed a drink and lunch out by the water and then the room was ready. Room was clean, great view from the 9th floor, but we had one of the teeny tiny patios, not really any room to sit and relax out there. Not all the patios are like this, but ours was. Someone had left pizza boxes and dead flowers in the hall which stayed there over 24 hours until I mentioned it to the front desk. FOOD Food was really hit and miss. Breakfast, which I think is easy at a buffet, was mostly a miss. Definitely had cold, cold eggs on the buffet The omelettes are the way to go, made to order. The grill by the beach is nice, but the menu limited. After eating there twice, there was nothing left that was interesting. Dinner was good with the Italian a la carte the one we liked most. We were not able to get reservations for the Asian place. Mexican was good. I really liked the tapas bar; Good food, good drinks and great service. The bar outside the Mexican and Adrian restaurant was great, with a very good bartender. We never had issues getting drinks, the bartenders we always on top of things. The daquiri shack just across the street from the hotel should be a must see stop on your trip! Great drinks and a super fun place to hang out. We went to the Bahamas to dive and used Stuart Coves for 4 days.i liked them but would try someone else if I go back. The shuttle picked us up at 8, and the one day we waited inside the lobby instead of outside, the shuttle almost left without us, even though we started out right when they showed up, so be on in time if you use them. We stored our gear at the dive shop and had no issues. Guides were nice, boats plenty spacious. We did the shark dive with them and I would highly recommend it! They also have a snorkel version which people seemed to like. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location

Jan 18th, 2020

I stayed here last night and found this resort to be very nice. The service was very good and the facilities were well kept up and clean. The beach and the poolside area were great . The staff attended to all your needs. I only stayed one night and had dinner in the market place buffet. The food was good and freshly made with a large selection. In the evening there was music and entertainment right next to the Tapas bar area. I would recommend this resort to families as well as couples. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
