Nice hotel, but dowtown is noisy

Feb 12th, 2020

The room was nice and spacious, beds were comfortable, but tucked into a nook area- unable to walk around them, pillows not very comfortable.Location excellent. Loved how close it was to transportation and walking distance to many attractions. Not the hotel's fault, but, sidewalk snow removal starts at 5 am for the World Exchange Plaza and it is loud (Albert Street facing) TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My go to hotel in Ottawa

Feb 2nd, 2020

I have stayed at this hotel more than 20 times. The hotel is very nicely situation. There are many restaurants around the hotel but it is away from the Market area that it is not noisy. The rooms are spacious and clean. The club lounge always has plenty of snacks and beverages. The staff are always very friendly. There is only 1 suite at this hotel. So if you're looking for a suite, make sure you book it way in advance. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good bedding & breakfast

Feb 1st, 2020

After getting out lf the coziest bed there is, we ate a good breakfast at Sheraton’s (these eggs and banana brioche bread were simply delicious). Our dedicated waitor, Micco, was a gem and he gave us the best advices to find activities around the city. Both mornings we have been served in french, which is appreciated since we are from Montreal. Thank you ! Valérie & Sandra TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Helpful Staff

Jan 23rd, 2020

My wife and I visited Ottawa to see the Chicago Blackhawks take on the Ottawa Senators. Although it was cold and our stay was a bit short we had a fantastic time. We had a good stay at the Sheraton. It's a bit outdated but that would not deter me from staying again. The hotel is conveniently located in the center of downtown/financial district. One block from Parliament Station where you can catch the train to go anywhere. Canada's Parliament is just an additional two blocks beyond. The ByWard Market is approx. four blocks where there are many restaurants and bars to satisfy. We intended to skate the Rideau Canal but unfortunately it wasn't frozen enough so it was closed. Would definitely visit Ottawa again when the weather is warm and you could walk to all the sites. Special shout out to Elizabeth at the front desk. She was very friendly and professional. She was also extremely helpful with directions navigating the train and bus to and from the hockey game. Thank you Elizabeth! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Parking nightmare

Jan 19th, 2020

The hotel has very restrictive parking. As a truck owner I cannot park in their lot. And the staff push you to get them to valet your vehicle for $30! I parked accross at the world exchange for considerably less. The room was large but was terribly dated, there was dust on the frames and part of the desk. Very old carpet and curtens that were in need of a wash. The mattress was the only new and good thing about that room. Room was also beside service elevator and there was quite a bit of noise throught the night of glasses clinking and carts moving. All in all will never stay here again and as a bonvoy member very dissapointed. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
