Gets the job done.

I stayed 1 night as a layover in Phoenix. I called the hotel twice and selected the airport shuttle service option, but nobody picked up twice so I called the operator the third time who arranged the shuttle pickup. The driver picked me up, left promptly, and was nice. I appreciate that he wanted to make sure I didn't wait too long at the airport terminal for other people arriving. I checked in and they thanked me for being a Gold member, which was nice. Something interesting that happened was that I reserved a club level room, which at the time was the cheapest option. When they checked me in, they gave me a room on the 3rd floor, but I think the lounge is on the 4th? I'm not sure if this was an oversight, but I didn't bother to ask because I just wanted to sleep and leave the next morning. I assume it was because she told me I could purchase breakfast downstairs. It seems like the reservation details should be standard and I'm not sure if that's something that a guest should have to bring up. Other reviews have already mentioned this, but the hotel could use some updating. It gives off a spooky vibe and there are hygiene issues as evidenced by the photos. Brown stains are slightly disconcerting for travelers. Overall, the price was right for this hotel as it was the cheapest Marriott I could find. It gets the job done for an overnight layover. Great service!

My rating is focused in the quality of costumer service. I'm very positively impressed by how they took care of me even before arrival. John went the extra mile to make sure I did not have to wait at the airport to be picked up after my flight was cancelled and I chose to stay at this location. Upon arrival I noticed that this good will and care for guests extended to the associates working at the restaurant too. Thank you all for a great stay. Yes, people have commented before that the hotel seems to need a facelift and some other renovations. This is true. But, it should not affect the rating for the people that are working hard taking care of us. As Marriott has taken over this Brand, I am sure that we will see some much welcomed renovations soon. I think, this property offers a very good value for the money and we should wait eagerly to see how it will get improved soon. However, I feel we will keep getting the high quality costumer care that I have experienced. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Please, stay away. Bed bugs and unclean sheets. My family and I had to move into two rooms. The beds weren't comfortable and small, the rooms are outdated and has dim lights. I will not return. Unhappy TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very disappointing

When I booked the hotel online, it clearly showed, my reservation comes with parking and BREAKFAST, but no you have to purchase breakfast every single day. AND the room is the worst. Yesterday I came from work and tried to enter the room only to find out my card does not work. I was so exhausted and had to go back all the way to reception and they told oh yeah we reset all cards and we have to program it for you again. Next day wanted to take a shower when I got back from work and this is what I saw in the bathroom TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very disappointed in this hotel as a Bonvoy Titanium customer. I was not given the room type I reserved. The loyalist lounge closed at 8pm. The air conditioner is far too loud. Wishing I had skipped this and gone for the full service Marriott. Beware! Your status doesn’t seem to count at this hotel! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
