Tired and in need of an update
Jan 30th, 2020
I know this hotel is scheduled to be refurbished. Fine. That doesn't help guests who may be debating whether to stay at this property now. Staff are very friendly, but perhaps in need of some elocution guidance. Instructions at check-in were mumbled and rushed. As a first-time guest at this property I had to clarify where breakfast was served and what the parking arrangements were. The hotel is in desperate need of repair. The elevators are slow and need paint and refinishing. The club lounge on 11 is adequate (though staffed with perhaps the brightest spot of the hotel), if not a bit on the small side. My room was drafty, especially with the drapes open. The tile in the bathroom is clean but tired and clearly often repaired. The bed felt like a soft cardboard box. The suite overall has that same tired feel. The gym has several treadmills and the requisite free weights and floor area--but is definitely small for a property this size. It has the feel of a temporary gym stood up in a former guest room. There is a fridge for cool towels, but during my visits there wasn't a towel to be found anywhere in the gym. There are other options in Wilmington and I'll likely avail myself of those on my future visits to Wilmington--at least until this one receives a refresh. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Solid overall expereince, would stay again.

I was here for a business visit to downtown Wilmington, and had, overall, a very good experience. I called in advance to ask a few questions and got very detailed answers. Upon arrival, and throughout the visit, all the staff were very friendly and conversational. The room was clean, but much of the hotel was starting to show a little wear-and-tear. One of the elevators wasn't working, and I had to get my key-cards re-coded every night. Despite what another reviewer said, there actually is parking, but the lot is limited to vehicles 6'-0" and under. My Toyota 4Runner just barely fit, but I was able to park. If not, there are about 8 other parking garages and lots within a 2-block radius. Also, this Sheraton now is part of the Marriott Bonvoy family. They offer points or credit for food if you forgo maid service, which was cool. I usually don't have my room made up every day anyway, and was able to get some points and a drink out of the deal. I'm sure it saves the hotel money overall in cleaning, but it's also a great way to go a bit greener when traveling. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Very poor management!
Dec 2nd, 2019
The front desk manager Matt was extremely rude and unprofessional! I was inquiring about a room for this evening for work purpose so I needed to ask him only a few questions and it was a beyond horrible experience! The way he spoke to me was very degrading and disrespectful!. I would not recommend this location to anyone because if the management doesn't care about being welcoming and polite, I can only imagine how my stay would have been. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Average but pack earplugs

The hotel is a typical Sheraton, nice but dated, and a little behind on maintenance. The real issue though is the poor exterior soundproofing, starting at 5 am, there is so much traffic from deliveries and construction in the area that it’s hard to stay asleep. If you must stay here, pack earplugs. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Not up to par

Stayed there 2 nights - The Good - Staff was very nice and the room was very big. The Bad - No parking had to park accross the street in a church parking lot. The bed was very uncomfortable the sheets and blanket were very rough (maybe to much starch). Homeless begging where you drive-up to drop off luggage. Would not stay there again TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
