Great experience in a tough situation

The location was close to my son's school, close to local restaurants and pharmacies and most importantly provided a nice place to walk each day be the river. The rooms were in need of updates, but the were generally clean, with the except of the balcony. It was pretty dirty. The staff was exceptionally supportive. Most of the guests were picking up their kids like we were, but other than that it was empty. Because of that, Jessica upgraded us to an available larger room. All the staff was respectful of our space and went out of their way to make sure we felt well taken care of, even if it meant doing jobs that weren't theirs to do; for example, person in charge of upgrading the property noticed I was waiting for coffee and went to the kitchen so I didn't have to wait for a waiter. They were on a skeleton staff and everyone pitched in. Most of them addressed us by name. Special thanks to Jessica, Jordan, Marcus, Ron and Sheila. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My bed had blood on the sheets during the Coronavirus!!!

I was appalled!! I never thought in a million years I would have blood on my sheets!! I called the front desk and all they told me: I’ll send housekeeping up to change your sheets! I thought they would have offer a room change or something. I had to go downstairs and ask them how do I file a complaint. Front desk then offered me 50 dollars off my room. Then at dinner, at the hotel restaurant, I told them I was vegetarian, I had no clue the meal had lobster sauce because I was told it didn’t have any meat products! However, Hillary was a great server! She had a great attitude and treated me very well! I will only come back because of her, just to eat! I thought customer service was great, but how they dealt with my situation was very poor! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

To begin, I am a loyal Marriott customer. Titanium Level. I stay at Marriott hotels weekly and have NEVER written a review. This hotel stay made me take the time to write this review. To say that the property is in poor condition is an understatement. From the tattered chairs in the concierge lounge, to the absolutely old and musty rooms, this property needs help. In the first room I went into the windows of the sliding glass doors were so dirty, I could not see out of them (no kidding). I am attaching some of the photos of the room. It WAS remodeled. Can you say DIY. Over-sprayed paint on hinges and carpet, non- matching paint, bugs on the vanity, hairs in the bathtub....I can go on and on. The worst part was that the valet staff was rude to my wife. This was one of two trips she travels with me yearly while I am on business. It was the worst Marriott experience I have had. Do yourself a favor. Choose another property. So as to not finish on a negative note, they had a good steak salad in the restaurant. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Vacation

Elizabeth was my bartender, absolutely loved her! Efficient and a sweetheart. I was at the Sheraton with family after the wedding in treasure island. Hotel is very nice, staff in general was great and very helpful. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent service in restaurant

My server Edgar was amazing... brought me a new pot of coffee because “it needed to be hotter”, I hadn’t even said anything. He offered to refill my cooler with ice.. these are the small attentions to detail that end up making a BIG difference! I’ll be staying here again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
