Quarantine in comfort

We were fortunate to be allowed to travel from the UK to visit our daughter and family on compassionate grounds. We didn't know what to expect apart from being told we were to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival. After a long flight via Tokyo (only about 10% full) we were processed at the airport and coached to the Sheriton. We were very lucky and had a suite as we were a couple - so separate lounge and bedroom - which gave us room to move around a bit. We weren't allowed to leave our suite at all for the two weeks (even a guard in the corridor) and we looked longingly on the expanse of Hyde Park out of our window. No balcony to get fresh air didn't help. However, we can not fault the service we received - there were three fixed meals a day (8am, 12pm, 5pm) - all dropped off at our door. It was not always a choice we would have made, but we certainly didn't starve. There was always a chance to order in food and drink (we had a Woolworths delivery of extra fruit and chocolate) or room service. Fresh linen/towels/toilet paper were provided to the door when requested and there was always someone at reception to answer any queries (medical or otherwise). We had two tests for COVID (both negative thank goodness) taken at the door to our room and the medical team were very informative and efficient. So although we didn't get to use any facilities or the restaurants, we can give an excellent rating for their quarantine service. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Opening weekend after COVID closure

Professional. Welcoming. Highest quality. Our dining experience far exceeded our expectations. The COVID protocols were very much adhered to in a very respectful manner. There seemed to be more chefs and wait staff than diners and the new twist on the buffet was a standout as there was no contact from diners with food or utensils and the chefs served you themselves. Although the number of dishes had reduced, they were of the highest quality and taste. All staff were extremely welcoming and genuinely happy to see diners. Our waiter Ambrose (who wore a mask) was very attentive, diligent and was very cheerful, as was Grace. A special mention to Joshua, the manager who ensured the evening ran very smoothly. To top it off, Chef Dennis paid us a personal visit to see how we all felt about the new dining experience. Had such a wonderful time that I have booked again for next month. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Wonderful seafood buffet

We really enjoyed the food very much there. Seafood, meats and dessert. So yummy! Also, Dennis and Elmer provided amazing services. We had a really good night. We will definitely re-visit there. again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Amazing service during covid period. Although the buffet system has changed, staff were friendly and catered to all needs. We were seated and greeted by Grace throughout the entirety of the evening. Lovely customer service from all those that evening. Well done Sheraton! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
