Beautiful stay, amazing tennis!

Feb 26th, 2020

I had an incredible time at Silverado with my family. The weather was perfect and everything went very smoothly. The highlight was our tennis experience! We had a private session with Quinn that was educational and fun for everyone. The kids had tennis lessons with Katie and John and learned a lot. We highly recommend it! Alex in banquets was also very kind. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice place but needs upgrades

Feb 23rd, 2020

We had a nice stay at Silverado which has a magical nice setting, the rooms we had was small but well equipped with an outdoor private patio. However it is now showing its age and needing updates. No other complaints. However several of our friends complained of the air conditioning being very noisy (a loud rattle) in three of the rooms and requested changes. Our room was very far from the main house and Spa which was a drag and needed to contact transportation each time but the staff was great and quick. I must say that the staff was always nice and the food was also very good. It is far from everting so you need a car to enjoy Napa from here. Be advised that there are a lot of extra charges (Resort charge) and extra taxes which increase the cost of the room by about 25-30% so what you reserve for is not what you actually pay. disappointing visit to a beautiful area

Feb 23rd, 2020

This was my 3rd stay at Silverado. 5 years ago, the rooms were tired. I know they suffered from recent fire & heard that this resulted in remodelling & updates. Service also very disappointing compared to prior trips. Please see photos. High points: gorgeous setting and great wine selections. Molton Brown amenities. lows: 1) my room had a view of a bush & a trash can. (I asked to move but was told that there were lots of empty rooms at time of my request but guests were expected). 2) filthy carpet (this photo did not turn out) 3) barn doors on bathroom left an inch gap. W/o TMI, an upset stomach that I did not wish to share up close & personal w/ roommate was hard to keep private. 4) Roomservice breakfast: oatmeal delivered w fork & knife. 5) nice lotions, but at my age, need to sit when lotioning. Big bottle attached to mirror makes that difficult. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Looking a bit tired...

Feb 22nd, 2020

Our room was fine though looked a bit tired -- perhaps time for an update? One other problem is that though a non-smoking room, the room smelled of smoke. They rooms have wood burning fireplaces (who does that these days?) and if someone has used it, the ventilation does not clear the room of the smell. It's a very nice setting and if you are there for golf, convenient. The fitness center is nice and the cafe/bar there has much better coffee than the Market option (which serves Starbucks). For the price, not horrible but we were glad we were only there one night. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Golf, Spa and Tennis

Feb 21st, 2020

This is a full service resort that is a great spot for families, groups or couples. Lots to do on-site and about a 10 minute drive from the town of Napa and the wineries of the Napa Valley. Comfortable rooms and great food quality make this a great valley option. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
