Valentines Day

Feb 16th, 2020

We stayed here Valentine’s Day/night as part of a brief getaway from Tampa. It’s a beautiful hotel in a great location central to so many restaurants and things to do. Many within walking distance. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful and quite literally perfect. The L is right outside the front of the hotel and we were on the 8th floor in the front and yes we could hear it but it didn’t bother us at all. It wasn’t jarring or annoying. I had never heard of a boutique hotel before. I’ve learned it’s a smaller hotel (100 rooms or less) that isn’t part of a chain of hotels. It’s evident in the little things they do that make it special. Their social hour, their Molten Brown bath products, the staffs eagerness to help you, the call to your room after you check in to make sure you are all set. I would come back here in a heartbeat. Believe all these great reviews. It’s definitely worth coming here. You will love it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Staying in Downtown Chicago

Feb 11th, 2020

We stayed at the Silversmith Hotel on S. Wabash. It was a great experience overall. The staff and teams were fantastic to deal with, talk to and get advice from. The whole team from the doormen to the front desk associates were great. The room was larger than we expected, it was nicely furbished and VERY comfortable. It was a wonderful place to set up for a few days and we were able to walk to all of the sights we wanted to see. We are absolutely staying there again in the spring when we return. Hats off to the entire hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent! Stay here!!

Feb 10th, 2020

I travel a lot and I have never stayed at a hotel with more friendly customer service. The hotel is nice, clean, and quiet. Were were in room 610. It had really tall ceilings which I loved, and the best was very comfortable. The location of this hotel cannot be beat. You can walk everywhere. Goddess & the Baker was great for breakfast and Bightwok was so tasty for lunch/dinner. Really enjoyed staying here and will stay here again when in Chicago! For real though, the customer service was excellent!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Perfection! Great Location, Amazing Staff!

Feb 8th, 2020

We stayed in this hotel for a full week for the National Unified Auditions at the Palmer, House down the street. It was wonderful. The rooms were beautiful and spacious. The bathrooms were immaculate and also spacious. The location was everything we needed. It was literally 1 block (about 2 minute walk) to the Palmer House. It was very quiet. We never heard any noise above us or adjacent to us at all. I have stayed in many hotels and have always heard noise. This place was silent which was perfect because we needed peace and quiet between audition times. It is the most conveniently located hotel I have ever stayed in. We could walk to Target in 3 minutes and were able to replace several items we had lost or forgotten AND were able to purchase purified water several times as we had a humidifier in our room. They had a microwave available as well, which came in handy to reheat the meals we did not finish. The best thing about this hotel however, was the staff. I cannot say enough about the staff they have working at the Silversmith. There were two men working the door in particular that made a huge impression on both my daughter and I. Enrique and Greg were always there to help us heave the door open with big smiles and friendliness. Greg knew we were there for auditions and was always ready with a "break a leg" or "you've go this!" or some works of encouragement and Enrique is just so smilely and friendly....they both began to feel like family. Also, the lovely lady who was cleaning the rooms on the 9th floor, knew we did not want service but always asked if I needed anything. The gals at the front desk were equally as accommodating and friendly. We were there under very stressful circumstances and their attitudes and helpfulness made the week fly by with a sense of home. We will definitely stay at the Sliversmith on our next visit! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

What a Wonderful Stay!

Feb 4th, 2020

We were in town for a family wedding and we felt so welcome at the Silversmith Hotel. The beds were extremely comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. We arrived at the hotel around 3 a.m. and staff was extremely welcoming and tended to our every need. The hospitality was some of the best I have ever had at a hotel. I highly recommend!
