The manager Matthew is a total jerk. They would not refund my money.

Aug 5th, 2020

I booked the hotel in March. Ended up having to cancel due to COVID canceling the concert we would be attending in Charlotte. When I booked this room- they weren't even supposed to take the money out then and they did anyways. So it got taken out upon booking instead of arrival. Then, when I requested a "refund" I got an email saying it could take thirty days due to covid. I gave it thirty days, even got the refund back for the concert within this time, and when I called this hotel- they stated that they never got my "refund request". Which I had an email for. Anyways, its now August, and I still haven't received a refund. I've tried to talk to management (Matthew) but he is a total jack *** who won't get his head out of his own butt to understand. Overnight flight delay...

Feb 8th, 2020

Was traveling for work and got stuck in Charlotte due to weather and flight delays. Airline gave us a voucher for this sleep inn. Glad it was free and that I was only there 6 hours or so. The room itself wasn’t TOO filthy, but wasn’t exactly immaculate either. However the rest of the areas I was in were pretty gross. The elevator had trash in it, spilled things (possibly puke), and the lobby was pretty cluttered and messy as well. Every time anyone did anything in the room above or beside me it was like they were in the room with me. Only thing I got out of the stay was a hot shower (no issues there), because with all the noise and uncomfortable bed, I didn’t sleep at all. Very glad I didn’t have to pay for the room, I would have just sat up in the airport all night and waited for my flight TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent Staff , great room

Oct 19th, 2019

Stayed there for a concert at PNC Music Pavilion. Close to venue, shuttle service was available to concert. Staff was very helpful with my check out time and any request that I had. Will stay there again. Great compliment to a fantastic evening. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Overbooked

Sep 23rd, 2019

Upon arrival at check-in, found a long line. When I got to the desk they informed me they ran my credit card that morning and it was declined (false- my bank verified no one tried to run my card) and that they no longer had a room for me. We had to go to the car and last minute find reservations elsewhere. I will never book with Sleep Inn again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Older But Decent for Price

Sep 16th, 2019

So I've stayed at this hotel twice now. It is definitely showing it's age but considering I've been able to snag a room at less than $70 a night it meets expectations. The rooms are small and the carpet, furniture, and even curtains are worn. The bathroom is tiny. However, it is clean, has a fridge and microwave, and the bed is comfortable with a lot of pillows. The breakfast....the best I've had at a budget hotel. Sausage gravy and biscuits, crispy potatoes, eggs, and bacon. You could also make waffles or cereal but who has the room? It is also right beside a Bojangles which I love! And Walmart is just a few mins up the road. So, to me, the positives outweigh the negative. If you aren't held up on having to have a new looking hotel and you don't mind some chipped furniture this is a good place to stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
