Brussels

The hotel is in a lovely little square surrounded by restaurants ,bakeries pub supermarkets pubs and a park!not so far from the city center ,40 min walking or 30 minutes by metro.the hotel is more a 4 star business hotel then a 5 star one.the table and the wardrobe were a little bit scratched and the shower door wasn't working properly.Everyday 2 bottled water per person are free. The shampoo ,shower gel and body cream from hermes are wonderful. The hotel is clean.Due to covid the breakfast is offered in the room. There are different options but each of them only include one juice and one beverage plus the food items of course .in my opinion a 5 star hotel shouldn't limit a breakfast beverage option .The radio system and the bed are great. Disturbing activities in neighbouring room

Apr 10th, 2020

I stayed in room 308 from 1 to 3 January. On night of 2 January in the middle of the night I had to endure listening to person in neighbouring room having repeated and noisy sex with what sounded like multiple women. Even when they eventually stopped I couldn't sleep since the bedlinen in my non-smoking room was starting to stink of smoke for some reason. To cap it off, in the morning reception phoned my room to complain /accuse me of smoking in my room since the chambermaid had detected a smoky smell outside my door. I replied that I don't smoke but there was indeed a smoky smell in my non-smoking room and suggested that they check with person in neighbouring room whose noisy sexual activities had kept me awake half the night and maybe they had been smoking also. A room supervisor came to inspect the neighbouring room which had the curtains drawn and absolutely stank of smoke. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

You should give it a try

The breakfast was definitely one of the most delicious breakfast I’ve ever had in Europe. Very spacious room. Also, the water, including sparkling water, is free of charge. The hotel location is not far from downtown, there is a park next to it, and there is a European museum, which introduces the culture, art and history, which is pretty good! The subway station is within a walking distance too, so that ought to take you anywhere. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

High standard and stylish as expected from a Sofitel Hotel. Wonderful bed, and comfy room overall. No sound disturbance. Good air quality and temperature. Great breakfast selection and attentive staff. TV had channels in English not only for news and sports! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Turning a rainy day sweet

Feb 28th, 2020

That I am one of that chocolate addicts is no longer a secret. I know every shop, the staff, the classic pralines and the seasonal collections. Like I said in an earlier post, Brussels in the chocolate capital of the world. The “Salon de Chocolate” just closed its gates again this February over an array of delights. As such, in a spoiled market, what starts to make a difference is the service. And this time in Neuhas Jourdan it was great. It was a rainy (“dogs&cats” pouring type), was trying to find a quick and good box of chocolates and entered without great expectation in the shop incorporated in the Sofitel hotel. The shop assistant appeared instantly and without forcing onto me she explained the new collection, we praised together the classics such as the Caprices and the Manons Cafe. And on my way out she offered in tasting a superb coffee chocolate, as she said “to sweeten the bad weather”. Made my day! Was lovely! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
