Did not disappoint

Apr 14th, 2020

The rooms are really great, the view was fantastic, the breakfast was also great. Breakfast is a must here, as it’s a Michelin one star restaurant. Unbeatable view from the top floor. The location is very convenient, there is a subway station nearby, only one stop away from St. Stephen's Cathedral. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Visit March 2020. Loved

Mar 8th, 2020

Arrived on 5th March. We had booked a white suite. Room was on 14th floor woth great views over the north of the city overlooking the fairground. The concierge got us 2 amazing tickets for Turandot at the Stadsoper despite them being sold out online for the one show on the evening of our arrival. Wasn’t cheap, but worth it. The Das Loft is amazing for breakfast and the house music on Friday night was good. The staff were all lovely and our room spotless. (It was white and any marks will show) Bed very comfortable. Vienna is a beautiful city. This hotel is well worth staying at. We wanted to eat out. The staff told us to try Figl Muller. Great advice. Would absolutely go back. I have posted views from room and Das Loft. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Central, peaceful, great location

Feb 23rd, 2020

Spent 4 nights at So Vienna... asked for white room and got a room on 17th floor with a nice view. The location is wonderful. It’s in the 2nd quarter just across a short bridge to the first and the center of town. The room is compartmentalized so that you can easily seperate the sleeping area from the bathroom. The bed is very comfortable and staff are all friendly. Decent price too - for all that you get. My only downside is that - being on 17th floor, we could hear the music from Das Loft (18th floor) on Friday and Saturday nights. But the hotel provided earplugs on Friday in anticipation of that - and the music is turned lower by midnight. So they are aware of the issue and try to be considerate for early sleepers. Overall excellent experience and no need to stay anywhere else in Vienna. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A wonderful stay! Well located and quiet

Feb 21st, 2020

We stayed in a comfy category room and it was seriously SPACIOUS! It is very modern and some may say stark grey cement type of room but yet there were nice touches throughout. I can safely say I have seen more than 200 hotels during my business and lesiure stays but I have yet to see wardrobe doors and inside being lined with suede animal print!! you can see from the hotel pics and mine, it really makes a difference to the room, it livens it up to become cheeky ! Bed was very comfortable, lighting in the bathroom could be brighter as putting on make up in the dim light was not easy. Sinks were square but spacious . I like the taps mounted on the wall as it looks sleek and clean. Shower taps were not too complicated and pressure was great. Love the free mini bar concept, although tea mugs of a bigger size would be better. Love the big bathrub that could fit 2 people comfortably! The bathroom is really spacious and the open concept is great however it can be discreetly covered by a sliding door. I especially love the fact that the toliet is separated from the bathtub/shower area as it is not sexy to be seen on it! its also much more hygenic! so good idea! Bathrobes are really comfy as well, good material. The breakfast area is really a wonderful way to wake up to, top of the floor enjoying the amazing views of Vienna! I thought the breakfast counters were really smart as they could just close it easily when it becomes a rooftop bar at night! Selection is good as they had more than just boring fried eggs /omelette like Eggs benedict/florentine, waffles etc all made fresh! Crossiants were buttery like the ones in France! For the sweet tooths out there, there is a selection of panna cotta & tiramisu! They had healthy detox juices and good selection of yoghurt. The hamman is a jacuzzi and there is a steam room. I would say 4 pax in each is really quite sufficient, any more pax would be a real squeeze! We were lucky on both days we had the place to ourselves! The "naked" sauna is one of the nicest I have been to, because it is spacious in the open area which makes it more comfortable. Again, 6 pax would be just nice, any more might be tight, unless you like it to be so ! Location is really good, a short walk about 5-8 mins to city centre and the famous cathedral! I also like the hot dog stall right across the hotel near the canal, its better than the famous "albertina " one. All in all it was a great stay and totally enjoyed it! btw. even though our room was located near the lift, it was really quiet along the corridors. Our sleep was great! Good wi fi as well.
