Sonesta St George cruise

Jun 3rd, 2020

@sonesta_stgeorge_cruise @sonesta_st_george_hotel_luxor . I'm really grateful for everyone on this cruise and all the stuff starting from the Sales office team @therese.kaisser to M.Sameer the manager for taking care of every detail and everyone and make us feel very comfortable, relaxed and having fun all the way from checking in to check out..And although there wasn't any kid on this cruise except my son they tried all their best to make him happy and enjoy his meals and they took really good care of him.. Thanks for the kitchen stuff, the Chef and the waiters.. Thanks for the room service stuff, the bellboy and the receptionist for the quick and easy process.. And of course thanks for the tour guide Remon👍👏 We'll definitely see you again as soon as we can and we will recommend you to all our friends and family.. Until we meet again ❤️ . #travel #fun #holidays #adventure #adventuretime #tourism #egyptian #egypt #experienceegypt #egypteveryday #amazingegypt #thisisegypt #nileriver #nilecruise #nile #oldegypt #mycountrymypride #MyEgypt #travelblogger #travelbloggers #travelblog #travelblogging #luxor #aswan #nuba #pharons #سفر #مصر #الاقصر_اسوان #نايل_كروز TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Amazing amazing amazing. . The rooms were spotless the front desk were polite and responded to my needs in a very timely fashion. The restaurant was very well supplied with numerous western food .. I would have liked to have seen a few more truly Egyptian foods. Otherwise terrific. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good quality hotel with great service

Mar 29th, 2020

Return visit to hotel. Had WiFi in my room this time which made a massive difference (thank you very much Shenouda!) but the lack of free WiFi in the rooms will still be an issue when considering where to stay in future. Although the speed of the WiFi in the room is much better than that in Reception, the connection still keeps dropping out so you are constantly having to log in again which is not viable if you're working. The credentials also still expire every 3 days so you have to get a new card every 3 days (just when I've memorised the username and password!) - it would be so much more convenient to have a single pass for the duration of your stay. Otherwise, the hotel is very good. The staff are extremely friendly and can't do enough to help. Particular thanks to Merna who couldn't have provided better service and to Tony on Reception, but there are so many others who made my stay special, i really can't name them all. I have stayed 4 times now and never had a bad room (Nile side view). They are large with plenty of places to sit and put things and all have a lovely view, wonderful early morning views of hot air balloons floating over the Nile and Theban hills on one side, stunning sunsets across the Nile on the other, so take your pick! The breakfast service still struggles when the hotel is busy which is a shame, I need my coffee in the morning (thanks Christine!) and shouldn't have to wait half an hour for a cup...and I mean a cup, let alone anything in it! I will be back to Luxor I'm sure and would look to stay here again but whether I do or not really depends on the WiFi situation, for the price paid at a high end hotel I expect fast WiFi included for free in all rooms. Nice View

Mar 25th, 2020

Modern hotel with a retro look. Stayed one night in a water facing view room with a deck overlooking the Nile. Room was clean & quiet except for neighbouring rooms scraping metal legged chairs across the hard surface deck. Noise reverberates through the rooms. No one has obviously heard of lifting their chairs when moving them. Perhaps felt coverings on the feet of the deck chairs would assist. Food in the restaurant buffet was adequate but would have benefited from a few more tags identifying the various items, particularly in relation to the cheese assortment. The “coffee lady” walking around refilling cups clearly did not enjoy dealing with western visitors particularly females, too bad as it made for an uncomfortable/unenjoyable breakfast. In keeping with the hotels we stayed in, in Egypt only selected staff are allowed on the guest floors & visitors to the floors must be escorted which is a good security measure. excellent all-around

Mar 17th, 2020

We very much enjoyed our brief stay here. The common areas are beautiful and the breakfast room looks out onto the Nile. After three hectic days in Cairo, it was a delight to find this oasis. We were there during an unusual windstorm, so we were not able to take full advantage of the pool area (on the edge of the Nile) but did take a nice stroll around it. The meal we had at the Japanese restaurant was delicious. All in all, a perfect stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
