We had a great experience staying at his hotel. It is more of a resort actually since they have bikes, kayaks, beach chairs, umbrellas, and paddle boards all ready for you to use. The breakfast they have set up every morning was great. We are not usually fans of hotel breakfasts, but this one was very good. The staff was friendly and the room was nice. Our particular room wasn't updated, but I think the majority of them are. I believe I may have paid less to have this particular room and It was still very nice. We plan on going back to Sanibel and staying at the Song of the Sea for sure! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I would give this 10 stars if possible. We had a wonderful time. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Breakfast with yogurt, fresh fruit, waffles and more on the patio or inside. We enjoyed the free bicycles and the convenient location. Walk on the beach after dark was very romantic and enjoyed the free bottle of chilled wine in the room! Our room was clean and charming with a screened porch. Our favorite place to eat was Dante’s which was right next door. I highly recommend this hotel. You won’t regret it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Best Place To Stay in Sanibel!

The loveliest staff of any hotel ever! Always helpful and cheery and very knowledgeable of all things in the area. Amber greeted us when we arrived and was most friendly and helpful throughout our weeklong stay. Lorraine and Victoria helped us when we decided to stay on for an extra day and moved to another room. Susie and Susan were helpful as well. All of them as well as the custodial staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Complimentary cookies all day and cool water with fruit was very welcome after a morning on the beautiful beach which is only steps away on the property. Speaking of steps away, Dante's, which is walkable on the property as well, is excellent for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Thanks to all for a wonderful week! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Wonderful 10 year anniversary trip!

This was our first time staying at this hotel. We checked in at this little building where they were so friendly and gave us all the information for the week. They also gave us this little bottle of an essential oil mixture that was supposed to keep away the "noseeums" which I thought was a charming touch and really set the tone for the week. Admittedly, I was a bit underwhelmed when my husband and I first walked into the room. After staying the full week we ended up loving the charm of it. The furniture was all painted to match and the kitchenette had everything we needed. My only complaint was that the air conditioner was very loud. Whenever it kicked on it sounded like someone was busting into the room. On the plus side, the room was pristine and the ladies that clean do a fantastic job. The bed was comfortable and all the linens are white and crisp which I really appreciate. The morning breakfast was fantastic. It was so convenient and added to the charm of the place. We would go for a beach walk or run and come back to coffee and fresh fruit on the little brick paved patio over looking the fountain. I make it sound cute and romantic because that is exactly how it is! The grounds are beautiful. At all times of the day, they are pruning, working, weeding and the work shows. The plants are gorgeous, the grass is beautiful and the bocce ball court is maintained. All of this work and the people are still smiling And so friendly. The beach was great. Clean beach towels are provided and always available. The beach chairs all had umbrellas, which were a must in the July heat, and we never had an issue getting a chair. You can go to the beach hut (actually located at the sister inn next door which Song of the Sea has full access to) and check out paddle boards, kayaks and bikes which we did every day. The Tiki Bar is also next door (only a very short walk) which was nice to have a break from the sun, have a drink and a quick lunch. The food was surprisingly really good too. The hotel offers a few tours every day. We went on the Sunset Kayak Tour which unfortunately got stormed out so we had to paddle in before sunset BUT would have been perfect. We decided to try again and did the Bowman's Beach paddle and it was AWESOME. We paddled a mile down this little waterway surrounded by mangroves and so many birds. There were 2 guides with us from the hotel that are also naturist and kayak experts (not sure what the credentials are called) and they told us all about everything. We ended up at a small private beach where we swam and relaxed and found some awesome shells since it wasn't as picked over as the other beaches. We even saw a manatee and a dolphin. All of this and it was included with your stay at the hotel. We only had to pay for parking at Bowman's Beach and gave a tip to the well deserving guides. Overall, great experience. We are planning a trip back for Spring Break, with the kids this time, and we plan on staying at Song of the Sea again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
