Serious Financial Problem

Dec 28th, 2018

I want to bring to attention a very serious financial issue we encountered with Sonoran Suites in November 2018. I am the organizer for a group of twenty gentlemen who do a golf trip each fall. We have used Sonoran Suites to book trips for us on numerous occasions to the Palm Springs, Scottsdale and Tucson areas. In each instance, Sonoran Suites booked accommodation, golf and rental vehicles for our group. In 2018 our trip was to the Palm Desert area where Sonoran Suites booked us in to the Marriott Shadow Ridge Enclave facility for our accommodation. We paid Sonoran Suites a package price which clearly included the cost of our accommodation. When our group checked out of the Marriott property we found that we were charged by the Marriott for the cost of our rooms. After investigation, we found that Sonoran Suites had made arrangements with the Marriott for our group to be charged for the hotel, even though we had paid Sonoran Suites nearly $18,000 for those costs. Sonoran Suites refuses to respond to our inquiries and demands to remedy the situation by either returning funds to us or paying the Marriott. We continue to work through all avenues available to recover our funds but want anyone booking with Sonoran Suites to be aware of this issue. Suffice to say, our group will never utilize Sonoran Suites to book a golf trip. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location, easy check in , great condos

Dec 10th, 2018

I read other reviews of this hotel & one recurring comment was the check in process. I found this to be much easier than a typical front desk check in. You call the 1-800 # , Tony calls you back within minutes. He explains the process as there is no front desk. You're emailed a guest agreement, sign off, securely text or email a copy of your cc and drivers license, they email you back access codes for front gate, your garage (if you have one), and the code for your lock box to your room. The whole process took much less time than waiting in line at some front desk & Tony was great! Very professional. They also email you a map of EXACTLY where your condo is, as it is a large facility. It was also very quiet - no doors opening & closing or people talking down the hallways like in a typical hotel & there were a lot of people staying there. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is one major - I requested a king bed (the entire space was lovely btw, very clean, great amenities, xtra blankets/pillows) but the bed was not a king bed. It was two twin mattresses shoved together . So any time you move at night , you fall into a crack in btn the two. Very frustrating !!! Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel ! Good for the Price, not Great

Nov 16th, 2018

the room was spacious and comfortable, the bed was ok. Nice Kitchen and it was clean. My biggest issue was the hallways had dog pee in them and were kind of dirty. It was impossible to walk out of the complex..it must have been a different key as the pedestrian gates are locked from the inside. It is a large complex, so make sure you carry all three sets of keys that are there. It is convenient next to restaurants and freeways. For the cost I would stay there again for business, but not with my family. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good value and location

Nov 12th, 2018

Nice complex, including the pool and fitness center. The unit itself was a bit dated but very functional. Could not locate the WiFi network, but did not honestly try very hard or contact the property manager. Overall, great location. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Business trip stay

Oct 11th, 2018

The location is good, right across from shops, restaurants, and it's close to the freeway. Once in the complex, not super easy to find the unit. If you park in the garage, you can't walk through the door into the hallway. Instead, you have to walk out of the garage, around the corner and then enter the hallway. The unit is nice sized, the kitchen is great. The furniture seems like it's from the 80's; old and not very comfortable. The bed is adequate but not very comfortable. For $100 a night, it's ok. I think next time I'll spend the extra $50 a night to stay a the Holiday Inn Express. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
