Wonderful staff, nice rooms

Jul 10th, 2019

We decided to stay in Charleston last minute. There were 6 of us total, including 2 adults, 2 kids, a toddler and a baby. We fit very comfortably in the room. I will say that the pull out couch is smaller than I would have expected, it worked great for us, but I wouldn't recommend it for adults, especially not more than 1. My niece said that the couch wasn't really comfortable, but I would not have expected it to be; however, the actual beds were pretty comfortable. It is nice that the area with the couch was almost sectioned off a little so that she almost felt like she had her own space. The room was very clean and the kids loved that there was a walk-in closet (they put all of their stuff in it and made a fort). I was impressed with the staff and how great they were. There was a wonderful lady named Kim that I had passed a few times walking around after breakfast and she was just so sweet. Later on in the day, we needed more towels, so she brought them up but I did not have a tip ready. I asked her to hold on a minute to grab a tip and she laughed and said that she was just happy to help and that I could put that tip in my baby's piggy bank. Frank at breakfast was also very helpful and was very sweet with my kids and me. Both he and Kim made my kids feel special, which I think is the way to every mom's heart. I like that they didn't cut breakfast off immediately. We stay in a lot of hotels and often I feel rushed out when breakfast time is up. During breakfast, the staff was great asking if we wanted any more and talking to us as they put the breakfast away. I did not feel rushed to finish at all, which made that experience even better. My husband had to do some work while we were at breakfast and he was able to use a private room just near us. We also enjoyed sitting on the rocking chairs outside. The location was great for what we needed. We were able to get a late check-out at 4:00, as my husband is a Titanium member. That is such a nice perk to have. We were able to go to the beach a bit in the morning and come back for showers before it was time to start our drive home. The room was spacious, staff was friendly, breakfast was great, and parking was free. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I hope that we are able to stay here again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great place to rest for the night

Jul 9th, 2019

Visited Charleston with the kids for a quick two-day trip and needed a place to sleep for the night. Everything was clean, staff was friendly, and breakfast, while nothing spectacular, had enough variety to get everyone up and moving in the morning. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Off to a bad start

Jun 18th, 2019

Group reservations. Only two people got notice to mobile check-in. We all show up at 11 but only 2 rooms ready. Put on waitlist (behind others who used mobile check-in) and at 2 pm, STILL waiting for our room. The hotel is a virtual ghost town, so people who used mobile check in have rooms while those of us waiting are in the (not very clean) dining area waiting. Not a good start. I hope the room is SPOTLESS when we finally get in since we are waiting so long for it! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Stay!

Jun 3rd, 2019

Although the setup / entrance are a bit confusing (the lobby is on the 2nd floor as it seems the hotels designers elevated it out of flooding concerns), I had a great stay with no complaints. The only issue was that I requested a different iron and they brought me a brand new one. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great staff

May 20th, 2019

Overall, it was a very good stay with the best part being the front desk customer service. Gabby was super friendly and was helpful with anything I requested (late check out, purchases, etc...). Booking: As a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Member, I used the Bonvoy application to book. No issue booking. Pre-check: As my stay approached, I contacted the hotel via the chat function on the Bonvoy mobile application. They upgraded me to a nice room a bridge view. Location: The hotel location is good. It a couple blocks away from a lot of shops in Mount Pleasant. Check in/Elite Benefits: Check In went very smoothly. The front desk staff was phenomenal. Room: The room had a nice view. It was also very modern. It looks like the hotel itself is relatively new. Breakfast: Breakfast was ok for and met the requirements for a Springhill Suites. There were a few hot options and some cereals. Some more fresh fruit would have been nice. Check out: Instead of using mobile check out, I decided to see the front desk. Check out went smoothly. Overall, it was a very good stay. The rooms were very modern and the staff was great. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
