Nicest Hotel In Area
Dec 30th, 2019
This hotel was probably the nicest in the area. We got the hotel room for a good price, only $106 for the night. The pillows were soft, room was clean and plenty of room for our family of four. My youngest son slept on the trundle bed and the couch was big enough to sleep on as well, so a family of 6 could easily stay in this room. The beds weren't the most comfortable and there was a strange smell in our room when we came back from diner, almost like smoke/cigarettes and the walls were a bit thin as I was woken up by a crying baby in another room. The breakfast was pretty ok, better than we had expected actually and the lady working the breakfast area was nice and kept things picked up and clean (I felt some of the guest were rude to her and it made me sad to see them not pick up after themselves). We did not use the pool, but we saw plenty of people doing so. The hotel is close to the interstate and just down one exit is a movie theater and a little bit of shopping. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance or just down one exit. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Long term stay (Business)
Dec 24th, 2019
Nice looking hotel - modern and pleasing to the eye. Long term stay leaves much to be desired. Room cleaning is poor at best. I usually only have the sign off my door a couple of days a week. If you leave $5 you get your sheets changed. I don't think they know what a vacuum cleaner is. They go around with a lint roller and pick up any lint on the carpet but that's it. Bathroom sink, shower and toilet seldon get any attention. Always running out of Kleenex (why don't they leave a spare box somewhere?. One time I came back to find the entire contents of my bathroom waste basket dumped in the toilet which she had forgat to flush. There were plastic items and non-flushables included (pretty disgusting but saves a trip with a trash bag I guess). Usually when I have stayed long-term at any hotel, the Manager makes the effort to introduce Him/Herself. No so here, never laid eyes on him. If this was up to me I'd be gone to another hotel but this one is selected by Corporate. The WiFi is abysmal, always going down and we are given lame excuses every time, Breakfast is boring and unchanging. The fruit, bannanas, apples and oranges are very sad and only get refreshed on a Wednesday. By Saturday the bannanas are all over ripe. Half and half is also only ordered once a week and when it runs out we are left to open scores of minature servings. The cold cuts are always ham, why not try turkey or roast beef once in a while? One bright spot is Nancy, the breakfast hostess. Nancy is so very cheerful and friendly. She goes out of her way to greet everyone and keeps things running like a swiss watch. She definitely seems under appreciated. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. As a Platinum Elite member having been staying there for several months I really don't know what the advantage is. I have NEVER been offered an upgrade so all the Hype about Bonvoy Being the best reqards program is just that "Hype". There is no free Airport shuttle bus for any of the hotels in this area. I don't know why all the hotels (Many of them Marriott) don't get a service organized. Lousy coin washer dryer (inadequate for the size of hotel) TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Long Time guest
Dec 8th, 2019
I travel for work and live in hotels most of the year. This is one of the good ones. The staff are wonderful. Terry and Amy at the front desk know me by name now and they are like family, we chat in the mornings and If I need anything they are more than accommodating. Terry is the enforcer.... we have had bunches of kids staying at the hotel over the summer which as hotel residence know is a challenge with the noise level on the weekends for those of us that work every day while we are away. After 10 there is no noise on her watch, she will walk the hall ways and get every single on of those little @#$%# into their rooms and they become the parents responsibility again. Amy is the reservation queen when in need of a room she some how manages to pull them out of her magic hat. For someone so young she is management material all the way. The breakfast bar at this hotel is OK for short timers but for us long haul people it could use some updates. The cold selection is wonderful but the hot stuff well it could be better. With that said Nancy makes up for the food with her GOOD MORNINGS that she sings everyday. I have yet to see that woman in a bad mood. You can't help but smile leaving the hotel listening to her sing good morning. All in all a good place to lay your head. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
