Chose for location..got a lot more!

Sep 27th, 2019

I chose this Hotel based on location. The hotel is perfectly located near all the happenings spots, such as Beale St., Peabody Hotel, Lorraine Motel, Civil Rights museum, Bass Pro Shop Pyramid and loads of restaurants and bars. The trolley runs right outside the door of the hotel and stops at most of the popular tourist spots. Breakfast was pleasant with fresh fruit, toast, bagels, hot waffles, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, grits, cereal, coffee, tea, juice etc. Customer service was excellent from the front desk to housekeeping to the valet. All were expressively kind and professional especially Allie, the front desk assistant who went out of her way to accommodate my husband and I (thanks Allie!!). Bed was comfy, room space, decor and lighting was fine. If location, comfort and customer service are high on your list, then this is your spot. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Was very good

Great check in, easy to find, yet quite....Valet parking at reasonable cost. Easy walking distance to Beale Street. Room was very good. And loved the breakfast choices. Was tasty without being over the top. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Fun on Beale Street

Sep 18th, 2019

Great location to visit Memphis...in the heart of everything from the newly designed Main Street to the always fun time on Beale Street. Wednesday night will get you Bike Nite on Beale Street...and plenty of fine places to eat. I recommend Sage on Main...great dishes and a Great Peach Cobbler. Things have definitely been upgraded since I grow up and left Memphis...love going back home and seeing the changes. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Needs Updating

Aug 18th, 2019

We ravel to Memphis frequently from St. Louis, decided on a spontaneous weekend away, so our favorites were booked due to Elvis week festivities. So we booked a room for a trip with our son for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary and have a fun weekend before our son left for college. We liked some of the new things happening on Main street from our prior visit and thought this would be a good location. We booked in the historic Kress building, as we read it was recently updated. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. To check in we had to check in one building, but to get to our room we had to either by walk out of that building and to another, or up 3 floors and walk a bridge to the Kress building, and then up or down to our floor. The Kress building smelled musty from the time we walked in, the room was even worse. We had 2 queen beds and a pull out couch. Pull out couch (oversized chair) was completely broken, the mattress fell through the springs. The queen bed was worn as well. Breakfast area was very small for people from 2 buildings to be trying to eat there. Main street was not as clean and booming as it has been the last time either. Many if the restuarants have closed since our last visit and the homeless people were everywhere hassling us. We didnlt feel safe coming back later in he evening. As much as we love Memphis, we will definitely not return to this area. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good location, hotel needs updating

Jul 15th, 2019

This hotel has a good proximity to the sights in Memphis. However, we were disappointed in the condition of the hotel. The furniture in the lobby is very tired looking...lots of stains and it just looks dirty. The carpet throughout needs replacing. The room was clean, but the bed was very average. The couch in the room needs to be replaced. It is dirty and in poor condition. Good water pressure in the shower. The staff overall was very friendly and helpful. I will look for another hotel if I return to Memphis. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
