Great Customer Service

My children and I stayed at this location. Due to Covid I would say that they most definitely accommodated me for any issues we had. There was a issue that I had and Antonio Neil in maintenance went't above and behind and realize that the issue was an inconvenience and unacceptable. Will stay again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

TERRIBLE

TERRIBLE HOTEL! Management need to be fired. Be aware of Melanie Green and the General manger Tim. He apologized to me over an email when I have called and even left him a voicemail. I love Marriott's but this was the worst one. Tim definitely needs to be fired! Worst management I have witness. Only willing to offer me $20 for a terrible stay. I will contact the owner of Marriott! Just Terrible. Was told the manger would call and he never did. He needs to be replaced. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

One Night Stay

This hotel was clean and well kept. Staff was pleasant. As far as the room, was nice, bed was comfortable but repairs were needed to the shower. Handle came off in hand, spout and shower head pipes moved when touched due to not being secured behind the wall which in turn produced a clanking noise. At 8am my husband went to lobby to retrieve coffee while I showered. Heard a knock so I barely covered myself assuming it was my husband with his hands full and unable to use key card. As I went to look thru peephole housekeeping opens my door. Due to Covid it's asked of everyone to wear mask in public areas in the hotel. Housekeeping didn't have a mask on when she opened my door. Not your typical SpringHill Suites by Marriott

Not your typical SpringHill Suites by Marriott. This property felt very used and more like 2 start motel. As a Marriott Rewards member I used my points and money for this booking and I felt extremely cheated as this property was not worth any of my points or money. The Pros very close to the I95 and SC border. Convenient to shopping and restaurants. Hotel decor at check-in clean and modern. Hotel staff very friendly. The Cons once I walked into the room the first thing I noticed was how old and worn and torn the couch and furniture was, holes on furniture and walls, and dents in the walls and furniture. I immediately called downstairs and asked to speak to the Manager on Duty and I spoke with Melanie who was friendly and professional and informed me that the hotel was due for a remodel that would probably happen in January, but was delayed due to Covid-19. She asked if she could move me to another room, but I declined because I am sure all rooms are the same if you are due for a remodel. Maybe this type quality is fine for others but based on the price of this hotel this is unacceptable for the Marriott brand. About 10 minutes after declining the offer to be moved to another room, Melanie called my room back and said she would take off $20 which was a nice gesture and I accepted, but I was still thinking about the points I spent on my 2nd night so I called Marriott Customer Service and they said to get any of points back I would still have to speak to the property manager, so I called Melanie back on day 2 of my stay to ask what she could do for my points and her attitude was different and she reminded me she offered to move me but from what one bad room to another bad room No Thanks. It would have took nothing from the property to return at least 10,000 of my points, but I was offered nothing. There are so many other nice hotels in this area shop around before selecting this until this property has been remodeled. Room 304... TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

NOT Marriott Quality, Dirty!

We had a horrible first experience at this property last year, however, we had been assured by management that our dirty room and problems were not the norm and to give them a second chance. Since we are loyal Marriott vacationers we gave them a second chance last night and it was worse than last year! Room 312 was dirty with large stains on the bed, multiple couch cushions with stains, dirty carpeting, and a loud poor air handling unit that caused me to freeze all night. I used my Clorox wipes to clean our room. The hallways had trash all over the floor on the 1st and 3rd floors. The breakfast area had a large unknown bug on our chair (possibly a stink bug but who knows). Breakfast was congested with awful tasting juice and “warm food” that could have tasted better had it been hot. To top things off when I checked out today with our two kids the lady asked “how was your stay”, I replied “this was one of our worst experiences with a Marriott property.” She simply said “that’s good.” So this is the first night out of our three week vacation (on all Marriott properties) and had I not had the history I do with Marriott I would cancel our upcoming reservations and book with a different company after this experience. Fortunately, I know Marriott overall has much higher expectations for their properties and I hope they look closely into this one as it drastically misrepresents their values and mission to serve loyal customers.
