Overnight Stay during our Trip to Southern Florida

Sep 21st, 2020

Jacksonville was our halfway mark on our trip to Southern Florida for vacation. We picked this location as it was near our friends house and we wanted to meet up for dinner. The Hotel was really a surprise as the cost to stay was very modest but the location and comfort of the hotel was outstanding. Lots of places to eat and shop nearby and also a cinema. Highly recommend you try this hotel out if you are passing through Jacksonville. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Staff makes it work!

Jun 27th, 2020

Big shout out to Beverly for finding ways to help me be comfortable and meet my needs. She made safe choices to satisfy an unusual request. And the clerk who checked us in went out of his way to help us find replacements for services curtailed due to Covid. Place is clean and normal for a Springhill but the staff rocks it. Allergy Report: Pure Rooms Not Done Right

Mar 17th, 2020

To preface this, most of the Pure Room hotels have not been delivering on the promises made by Pure. Springhill Suites in Jacksonville has Pure Rooms listed, with the usual surcharge, but for an allergy sufferer, the shortcuts reduce the effectiveness of mitigation. Rather than have 6-sided full encasements, the mattresses are only covered by a 5-sided, stretch over protector. While this is better than no cover at all, it's not as effective in being a dust mite barrier. When I arrive to any hotel, I immediately do a bedding check, in case there are feather pillows. To my dismay, Springhill Suites Jacksonville did not have the pillow encasements on the pillows. I had to call Housekeeping, who then managed to find the Pure pillow encasements and put them on. This is a bit less forgivable than the mattress; In my opinion, housekeeping staff were trying to avoid taking the extra ten minutes to put these encasements on the pillows in each Pure Room, since it's extra work. The air purifier worked, and thankfully so. Having a HEPA filter running in the room makes a vast difference to someone like me, who has severe respiratory allergies. For the normal person part of the review, the hotel is very nice. Staff are friendly and helpful, the public areas are clean and the breakfast was decent. The outdoor pool and whirlpool seemed well maintained and the whirlpool was nice and hot, the way I like it. Parking was easy and the area seemed safe enough. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very impressed and pleased

Feb 19th, 2020

We spent a couple of 2 day stays at this hotel when going to and returning from southern FL and found everything from the accommodating and friendly front desk staff to the genuine concern for his guests exhibited by general manager Andy Preslar to be outstanding. We also enjoyed the preparation, variety and presentation of each mornings free breakfast in the breakfast area. When coupled with warm and sunshine bright greeting from front desk clerk Julian, it help get each day off to a great start. If your planning a stay in Jacksonville I highly recommend the very neat & clean, spacious and comfortable rooms at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Spacious room, great location

Feb 16th, 2020

We stayed 2 nights. The room was really spacious. The closet had shelving inside, which doesn't sound like a big deal, but if you've ever had to stay at a hotel for a week, storage is appreciated. The bed was comfortable. Everything was clean. We didn't eat the breakfast but the 2nd morning we were there, someone burnt something at the breakfast area and the fire alarms went off all over the hotel. Rest assured that if there's a fire in this hotel, you WILL wake up to the alarm. It was super loud. Luckily it only went off twice and not for very long. It was winter so we didn't get to enjoy the pool, but we would return to this hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
