closed the place - no notice

Things are weird in covid times, but we showed up for a 3 night stay about 3:30 p.m. and the parking lot was blocked off. There were signs on the front door. Fortunately, we caught 2 staff members leaving and they told us they transferred our reservation to the Fairfield across the street. They asked why we didn't check our email. When we did, we found the cancellation email had arrived 45 minutes before we did, while we were on a 5 hour drive to get there. Who would have thought? TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice accommodations and great service

We stayed two nights on the fourth floor and the accommodations were very nice. The morning breakfast was more than adequate and the food service from Tramillia was top drawer. The coffee pot was out of coffee and next scene she carried two of these coffee pots and placed them in service! This lady was always smiling and If I hadn’t sold my software company already, I’d hire that lady in a heart beat! Her positive happy attitude is infectious! Highly recommend! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We stayed in Naples due to visiting family. First, I was pleased that I was able to get a good rate in Naples considering how late I booked the room. However, this property was just bland, maybe a little run down. I usually think of SpringHill as a higher end property in the mid price point for Marriott, but this property could use some upgrading. I will say that the staff was friendly and the housekeepers in particular went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. The room itself was tired and a little shabby. The air conditioner indicated that it can run the fan continuously, but ours didn't. There is a Fairfield Inn just across the way and I couldn't help wondering if we might have done better to stay there. My husband used the fitness center and said a number of weights in the weight set were missing. There was only one 20 lb weight and one 10 lb weight, for example. These need to be replaced. I didn't have the breakfast, but my husband did. He said it was subpar. Staying here didn't spoil our vacation by any means, and I did get a good price, but I would not stay again in the future. Medical business

Was not impressed. Titanium member and see many different marriotts. Juice at breakfast was watery. Waffle batter thin and not appealing. Room was ok at best. Beds not that comfortable. Newspapers kept behind counter and had to ask for one. Not very welcoming on several counts. Must make yearly trip to naples and will be staying at a different marriott. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Need more help - overworked understaffed employees?

I stay in Marriotts (Fairfield, Courtyard, Springhill Suites and Marriott) several times a year (enough for the highest elite status) and this hotel was mediocre at best. I used the online check in using the Bonvoy app, a few hours in advance and asked for enough towels for our group and extra sheet (didn't happen). The employee who checked us in did not acknowledge me as a Marriott member (I believe a requirement since most Marriotts say something like "Thank you for being a Marriott member)) but did share they were understaffed. Breakfast was slammed on January 2nd around 9am and only one employee trying to keep up with a full house, so obviously she couldn't keep up with re-filling everything. Hotel management - hire more employees! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
