Oldie, but a Goodie

This is an older property, but it was the right location and price for us. The rooms looked more upgraded in hotel website photos than what we experienced. Some things showed their age, and our room also had a bit of a musty smell, which I'm certain came from the older carpet, but we aired it out with the ocean breezes. Despite the aging accommodations, the ocean views were picture perfect. We made good use of the fire pits at night, and enjoyed several restaurants that were within walking distance. A memorable birthday celebration

Everything about this experience was perfect from the room with the fireplace, the beautiful ocean view and patio to sit outside. The room was clean, comfortable and a great value. The location was ideal. As if that weren’t enough the staff were all exceptional they provided an early check-in and late check out for my birthday, as well as a special birthday gift on arrival. I will absolutely return to the spy glass in and hopefully Ely will help us again she was a stand out for exceptional customer service TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We got here Friday night. Check in was smooth. Great front desk gals. We had room 121. Ocean view. Great little patio outside that takes you out to a fireplace to make s’mores at night time! S’mores supplies can be purchased at the front desk. No complaints just a great smooth, relaxing stay. Monarch butterflies weren’t here yet though. She said they start getting here in November. worst night of my 3 week road trip here

First of all I was charged $440 for the night. room 201 was probably the worst room available. My view was over their noisy parking lot and closely adjacent to the freeway which was is full view of my room. The freeway noise was so loud even with my window closed, I didn't get much sleep at all!! It was hot, but I couldn't open the windows which increased the freeway noise level. The rooms in the front that looked over the ocean and were lovely and probably only received ocean sounds. For $440 I expected much better. There are no "ocean access". They have a grass and concrete patio facing the ocean, but there is NO actual access to the beach. They had bottled water in my room "for sale", seriously. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER 

Good location

We stayed here for 3 nights. There is no AC and we did not have a window on the ground floor. Our room was updated, but the carpet was filthy and the bathroom was tiny. I must admit I was a bit disappointed because our room did not look like the room pictures. We tried to pay for an upgraded room, but there weren’t any available. The landscaping is beautiful and they have a few fire pits. We did not use the pool, but it was teeny tiny. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
