Really only worth it for Chambers access

Feb 26th, 2020

Standard rooms in the Barlow wing are new build and the same as any Marriott anywhere. To get into the rooms with views of the Euston Road or Station Concourse, you need to have a premium room with Chambers access. We took the Gilbert Scott Suite to watch the rugby. This gives you a luxury bedroom and bath with view of the Euston Road plus a huge dining room with a table seating at least 10 and some absolutely splendid walls, ceilings and windows. From the service point of view, the score is realistically only 7 for the price you are paying. Our first room keys didn't work, a staff member repeatedly knocked at the door asking to come in while I was taking a bath (despite the Do Not Distrurb sign) and the service on the Chambers Club ranged from excellent to somewhat shouty. I witnessed an unfortunate couple getting a massive telling off from a well over-pompous male server for daring to sit at a table for four. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

It keeps drawing me back great place

Feb 22nd, 2020

Mrs F had to go down to London for a funeral this week sad but it part of life. Won’t stay anywhere else when staying in London. The hotel is what you pay for it’s standards have not dropped one iota. From the greeting Akim gives you on arrival entering the great hotel to the reception staff it’s THE place I only stay in the capital. Mrs F would have no hesitation in staying by herself at this fantastic hotel. If you want an immaculate professional place to stay, the Renaissance is the place. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful hotel - shame about the wedding party

Feb 21st, 2020

Before I go into this, I want to say this a beautiful hotel with fantastic staff and quality of service. When my wife and I arrived we were told our suite had been upgraded to one on the second floor, overlooking the British library. A fantastic suite too, wildest dreams stuff! After a wonderful chill and bath, we had a lovely afternoon tea in the luxurious Chambers Club and headed off to the theatre. Coming back to the room, about 22:30, the room floor was, I kid you not, vibrating, to the sounds of the wedding band downstairs. If we had kept the original room we would have been on the opposite wing, away from the noise. Now the band was good, but I wouldn’t call this an upgrade. It was a shame that they had neglected to tell us when we checked in that we would not be able to get any sleep until any decent time. When my wife rang downstairs they said it’d be midnight before they stopped and offered us some camomile tea. You couldn’t write it! It wasn’t the evening receptionist’s fault, she hadn’t checked us in. Nor do we blame the band. Some serious wires had been crossed. We wondered why there were earplugs in the bathroom... I don’t want this review to stop people coming to this wonderful, historic, stylish hotel, but, PLEASE ask if they’ve a wedding below your room. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We stayed as family of 5 and this hotel exceeded our expectations in all aspects! excellent location, gorgeous architecture, decor, luxury and most importantly service and benefits! attention to details . We were treated like royalty by everyone...I saw I review that mentioned not suitable for families which we disagree a 100 %. . My family includes 2 young children and elderly mother . ...we travel around the world on business and pleasure and St Pancras Hotel is now on our top preferred list ... cant wait for our next European vacation starting in London at St Pancras Renaissance.... !!!! A fantastic stay!

Feb 21st, 2020

My husband and I stayed here for a night to celebrate Valentine's Day. Everything was great: the friendly staff, the swimming pool and the delicious breakfast (we had three helpings!). Very comfortable bed. We were really impressed with the receptionist who checked us in, Annie. She was extremely friendly, efficient and welcoming. She also sorted out a problem for us - we'd accidentally booked the wrong kind of room online and she changed us to another straight away. Absolutely brilliant customer service! This is our third time we've stayed here and we can't wait to stay again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
