Clean modern hotel in an excellent location!

The hotel is fantastic in an unbeatable location - just opposite the Pushkin square and easy walking distance to Red Square, Bolshoi theatre etc. The staff were just fantastic. Check-in was a breeze. The staff at the breakfast area were very courteous and very easy to please/help. On the day of the check out, since i had taken ill, the hotel staff were very kind to organize for a visit by a doctor. They also allowed complimentary late check out. I couldn't recommend this hotel more highly! Would definitely stay here again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Clean hotel with friendly staff

We family members from all over the world meet once a year. This year we choose to visit Russia and join a river cruise. The first place is Moscow in which we stay at StandArt hotel. The room is clean and comfortable. The staff, especially those from concierge, are very helpful. We booked a car to the pier through Yantex.taxi but the taxi stopped a street earlier. We waited at the entrance of the hotel for more than 5 minutes. The concierge staff Preval saw us and deliberately took the initiative to offer us help. He talked to the driver in Russian language through telephone to lead him to the right place. He worths our praise. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Luxury at it's finest!

We were privileged to stay at Moscow's lovely StandArt hotel as a family of 11 spread out in 5 rooms. From the moment we stepped in, the warm staff greeted us with smiles and showed us to the breakfast. The breakfast was not a very wide spread, but was amazing. You could also order eggs which were fantastic. The rooms were terrific with the mirror converting as TV. The beds were comfortable but the A/C wasn't cooling. This wasn't fixed even after requesting. The bathrooms were big, especially that of a suite. The location was around 1.8 KM from Red Square however we didn't mind that as it was a healthy walk. The room service menu was lavish and the house keeping was kind. A special mention must be given to the amazing lady at Yura the restaurant who made sure every dish was upto the mark and beyond. We enjoyed our five day long stay there except for the tiny problem with the A/C. Very frankly, that is the only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Superb!

We stayed at StandArt as a family and loved it. I had read reviews about grumpy staff but I thought the staff was wonderful! The only people who never smiled were the bouncers (?) at the gate (maybe they are supposed to look strict) but other than that the gateman, reception staff and restaurant staff were excellent. The restaurant has exceptionally good food when we dined there as well as for the breakfast (champagne, Caviar and a whole menu of hot dishes to be ordered). The rooms are big and very well appointed. The bathrooms are big too! The beds are super comfortable and the way the room is designed is very cool. They give you a phone to carry around: unlimited calls and internet locally. They call it your mobile concierge. I didn’t land up using it though as I kept forgetting to ask them to change the language. The location is good- near lots of bars and restaurants and lots of metros. A 20 minute walk to the Red Square. A special mention for the best waitress I have ever seen in my 40 years of life: Aleksandra at Yura during the breakfast shift was the most attentive waitress I have ever seen. She would get me a saucer if I hadn’t carried one back for my oatmeal cup, would pick up the plates as soon as one was done, would even pick up something as small (and invisible) as a dirty tissue as soon as it was placed on the table- without being asked to! She was amazing!! All the other staff at Yura was really good too. I highly recommend this hotel but if you want to be closer to the Theatre Square and Red Square, maybe choose Hotel Metropol or Hotel National. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A Pleasant and quirky Hotel

Wife and I were here for 5 nights in June. We took the SVO Aeroexpress train + one Metro line to get to the hotel. It was super easy and it took about 35 minutes from the airport. The location of the hotel was great. It's right next to 3 metro lines which would take you to anywhere you needed via public transport. We didn't join a single tour, and we managed just fine buying tickets online to attractions, navigating and buying local and metro train tickets with Samsung/Apple pay everywhere we go. We don't even need a pin on our cards at automated machines anymore due to contact-less card payments. It was a 15 minute leisure walk from the hotel to the Red Square, which made it super easy getting to the Lenin mausoleum by 9:30am to wait in line. The first McDonald in Russia was right next to the hotel, and Pushkin square and parks is right next to the hotel. You can walk through the park up and down the street with amazing food courts and restaurants The check in process was simple. the lady that helped us was friendly and welcoming. They took care of our registration, and answered all of our questions since we are DIYing Russia. Our room faces Pushkin Square which had a great view. The room was comfortable and clean. The curtains blacked out most of the sun. Bathroom amenities were great. WiFi worked great with VPN. It even came with a hotel Android phone that you can take around on LTE for maps and guides. One night, they gave us free desserts in the room after the turn-down service. One thing I do have a suggestion on is that this is an SPG property converting to Marriott. But they somehow don't go through the old SPG lines of questions. They do not participate in Make a Green Choice program, they don't thank you for your elite status and ongoing loyalty, they also don't ask and mention about your welcome gift. I am not sure if Marriott changed the cookie cutter lines every property used to be required to say. But it would be nice if they do recognize and go through confirming your elite benefits. Overall this was a great hotel, and we have a 3 year multiple entry visa, we will def. be back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
