This is NOTHING like other Staybridge hotels!! Lobby looks like a cheap motel. Smells gross. Valet and security Staff sleeps in lobby on the clock! No concierge or help with anything other than check in. Valet price is a joke. Beds are worse than motel 6 or super 8! You can feel the springs! While we were out, Housekeeping TOOK our comforters, pillows and towels and it was like pulling teeth for 3 DAYS to get them back one at a time. I swear I felt like I was on a tv show! Breakfast is not worth a penny. You are better off at one of the $.99 breakfast restaurants. Staff does not communicate with each other at all or lies. They purposefully wont answer the phone at the front desk after I asked for items or explained my frustrations. Only after I told them I was contacting the corporate office did they offer a small discount off my bill. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Do not stay here Bait and Switch

Jul 5th, 2019

We stayed June 27 - July 3. We booked our room in April. Our room guaranteed a full breakfast and had a fridge and skillet top and. Had a pool. We looked at reviews a week before we to arrive and there was construction and poor reviews. We called and were told we could not cancel our reservation. We paid 200 a night for room 506. There was a makeshift lobby due to construction now until December. The pool was removed. The breakfast was changed to continental plus. Sometimes they had meat, maybe milk, maybe pancakes. The breakfast was hit or miss. Our view from room was a construction project. The room was severely outdated. The floor smelled like musk or very damp. We complained but were told that room sizes this size were confined to this floor so we were unable to move. The hotel staff was very nice but management sucks. We noticed that prices dropped from the rates we were locked into but were held to those rates before there was construction. I do not recommend this hotel with families. I will never stay at a staybridge hotel or IHG hotel again. This is not a 3* hotel. I’d say the place is comparable to a nice motel 6 in a nice location in a big city. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice Place Overall

Jul 2nd, 2019

We stayed 2 nights at the Staybridge Suites. We were a group of 4 people and the room we got had 2 double beds. The beds were very comfortable and the a/c worked great. It’s roomy and pleasant for the price. The hotel is under construction, so the lobby is mainly a counter. The afternoon we arrived there was almost a fight between a valet parking attendant and a customer. I don’t know how the argument began but it was very scary for the women in our group. We just got back in the elevator and went upstairs for a few minutes. The included breakfast was pretty good, would’ve liked some fresh fruit. Also, parking was an additional $40 per night, but then parking is always expensive around the French Quarter. Overall I’d stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Unbelievably horrible hotel with very unprofessional management !

Jun 29th, 2019

First of all we booked this hotel seven months ago for a Group of us that was coming to New Orleans for convention . When we arrived at the hotel the front desk manager which was a younger black lady was being very disrespectful towards a guest concerning some wet laundry that apparently would not dry in the hotel laundry needless to say there was a very long line and no one seem to be helping anyone . The hotel was under construction which no one informed us about until after our arrival . There is no longer a swimming pool there is no business center there is no breakfast area there is no lobby the parking garage has been torn down and the staff is very rude untrained and unprofessional. We travel around 75 days a year and I have never stayed a hotel that was any more unprofessional than this property not to mention the hallways and rooms were not very clean and we will never stay at this property again and I would advise if you have reservations at this property you stay elsewhere TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Do not stay here!!

Jun 25th, 2019

Shame on me for not reading the reviews before I booked. I am very tolerant of renovations but this was not a Staybridge quality property. I am so sorry we stayed here. Day 1 - checked in and there was no MATTRESS on the sofa bed. Let alone sheets or blanket. Fire alarm goes off at 3am - is It a false alarm or not? We have to call down to front desk to find out! Day 2 - no fresh fruit, no milk , no cereal at breakfast. Ice maker in freezer is broken and front desk has no access to ice due to renovation. Day 3 - the construction noise. Why would you put a family that is staying for 5 days on the 2nd floor with not only a view of the construction but apparently in the room right above the lobby construction?!?! How about putting us on one of the other EIGHTEEN FLOORS?!?! Idiots. Everything about our stay was horrible. Not up to IHG standards. Felt more like a quality inn. No shampoo / conditioner dispensers in shower. No forks or spoons in room. No dish soap to wash anything. I take responsibility for not reading reviews before I booked the room. But the website said NOTHING about renovations! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
