Horrible Hotel - Not even worth one star
Sep 8th, 2019
The photos of this hotel you see on webs sites are misleading, the hotel looks nothing like the photos. They are undergoing renovations. The lobby is tiny, dingy and dirty. The people at the front desk were rude and didn't even acknowledge us for a while at check in. Our room had stains on the carpet and curtains, the furniture looked like it was in desperate need of upgrading. Our room was never serviced, towels never changed, shampoo, conditioner, etc never replenished, beds never made. Construction noise started before 8:00 am which was very annoying. The breakfast buffet was poor and when things ran out they were not replenished. This hotel advertises itself as pet friendly: please note that if you are traveling with a pet, the nearest grassy area to walk your pet is two and a half blocks away. The hotel has no pet friendly amenities, like a pet walk area, potty bags, etc. Also, make sure you check your bill, because we were over charged on pet fees. The hotel charges a $40 per night valet parking fee. We asked if there was self parking near by and we were told that there was not, that Valet was the only option. This is not true, as there is a much cheaper self park alternative available less than a block away. We were traveling with a lot of luggage, when we arrived, valet helped us unload our suitcases onto the luggage cart but we had to bring it up to the room ourselves. When we left, we received no help at all with our luggage, the valets (two of them) just looked on as we struggled to load our car. Truthfully, there is nothing positive I can say about this hotel. We were so disappointed with this hotel that we actually cut our stay short and left early. We were charged nearly $200 for the first night of our stay, which in our opinion, is highway robbery. Epic Fun, Casino Winnings and great Birthday Getaway!!!!

Although the building is undergoing renovations, our trip was GREAT!! We drove over 12 hours and arrived about 5:30am very tired. The receptionist let us check-in, get breakfast, located an excellent parking garage 1-2 blocks away, and then we got some needed sleep. We had a great view of the Mississippi River, Tour Boats, & Harrah's Casino. The rooms were super clean, the staff was friendly, breakfast was ok given all of the ongoing renovations and limited preparation areas. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Although the building is undergoing renovations, our trip was pleasant! The rooms were super clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and any ongoing renovations did not interfere with our stay. We were more than pleased. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Not sure why its called Staybridge Suites

This hotel doesn't seem to be the same quality as other Staybridge Suites. The reception looks like a motel style. The absolute worst part was the breakfast. Seriously, cold sausage sandwiches that you have to heat up in the microwave, no fresh fruit, no good breakfast choices at all. You're better off going to a McDonald's for that type of breakfast food. The kitchen area was not stocked with all the essentials. AC works fine for a while but then abruptly changes temperature and gets very hot in the middle of the night. Sorry but I would not recommend this hotel at all. I guess the only good thing is the location. Its within walking distance of some main attractions. If you're just looking for a place to sleep go for it but if you're traveling with family and expect other amenities and good breakfast, look elsewhere. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The hotel looked nothing like the photos but there was construction going on. The noise SUCKED all day but was finished by 4pm. The room was big and clean but the hallways were hit and smelled. Wasn't great but wasn't bad either. I'm sure once the construction is finished the stay would be much better. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
