I made a reservation for a 1 bedroom suite with a king bed a month before my travel date. On the day of my arrival I got a phone call from the hotel telling me they didn't have a king room for me. I told them I had a confirmed reservation and they said they had given my room to another party and that I could either take a queen room, or go find another hotel. What’s the purpose of making a reservation if the hotel isn’t going to honor it? When I got to the hotel and expressed my dissatisfaction for not getting the room I had requested, the check in clerk simply said “I’m sorry” about a half dozen times. They were hollow words with no sincerity or compassion for my situation. When I checked out two days later I asked to see the hotel manager and was told she was out for several days. I explained to the check out clerk the poor treatment I received at check in and that I felt the hotel was wrong in giving away my reserved room. The desk clerk showed no compassion or sympathy for my situation and proceeded to explain why the hotel was right and by implication, why I was wrong. Never did the hotel accept any responsibility for causing my room cancellation, nor did they offer any sort of compensation, either verbal or monetary. I finally told the check out clerk I felt I should not be charged for the first night because they had messed up my reservation. She said she was going to adjust my bill, but when I looked at it, she had given me a lousy $30 credit. That is an insult! It was obvious the both the check in clerk and the check out clerk had no interest in my complaints and just wanted me to shut up and leave. Well, I left and I can guarantee you I will never again stay at the Staybridge Suites in Pooler, GA. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Filthiest place I've ever stayed
Sep 8th, 2020
Checked in Saturday evening 4 Sep after a long 10 hour drive. Got my room key only to be greeted at the room by extreme heat. The Ac was on 72 so it should have been pretty cool but it was hot as hell in there. The bathroom was filthy and the tub look like someone washed off and it was never cleaned. There were roach eggs and roaches in the cabinet. The refrigerator had defrosted and water was all over the floor. Absolutely the worst of any travels I have been on throughout my 30 plus years of military and government service. It was a disgrace. I will never stay in another staybridge suites. I would sleep in my vehicle if I had a choice between that hotel or the car. Absolutely disappointing and a disgrace. I wasn’t crazy about traveling during a pandemic but it was for business . The hotel smelt very clean when I walked in. The room was clean and bed comfortable. The noise was unbearable if you are a light sleeper. The air blows out like a jet taking off and it comes on every little bit. I could not get it regulated. I even tried turning it off and opening window but the traffic made that just as bad. The worst part was a high pitched beeping noise that would happen about every two minutes and last for ten to fifteen seconds . It drove me insane. Not sure what it was. It wasn’t in my room and I couldn’t track it. I know someone else that stayed on same floor and they said they heard this noise all night. Bring earplugs if you need rest. If you only need a shower then you are good TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Not like the last Staybridge Suites we stayed at
Apr 6th, 2020
After reading all the bad reviews here, I think we lucked out in having a suite with very few problems. We stayed here one night. We were in room 135. It had a 2 seat sleeper sofa, 1 comfy chair, TV, A/C, assorted tables, a big refrigerator, a stove top set of burners, sink and dishwasher, microwave, and coffee maker. The suite had 2 bedrooms, each with 2 double beds, and 2 sets of irons and ironing boards. There was a bathroom in each bedroom, with a tub and shower. There was no safe in the room. And one bathroom light was iffy. I had to go get ice from someone at the lobby (who had to go into the kitchen to get it), as the ice maker in our refrigerator hadn't made ice yet. Our room was clean, and the staff seemed friendly. Our room keys did not work on the outside door. The evening food they put out was limited, but we did appreciate the free beer and wine at the self serve bar. At breakfast, again, the food was limited. I kept going up to get something someone else said was good, only to find it gone. I doubt if we would stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Dirty, unprofesional and worse

I'll be short. Just drive by there are plenty hotels in the area that are much better. Room was filthy, staff rude, pre paid a two bedroom suite tried to give me a one and best of all charged me for a service dog which is illegal and refuses to refund the fee despite telling me they would.
