Overview

Guests admire the Sun Mountain Lodge's rugged setting in the rolling, forested hills near Washington's North Cascades Mountains. Previous visitors were quite impressed with just how picturesque the area surrounding the property is, noting that the scenery makes for a relaxing stay. Sitting on about 3,000 acres, the lodge has a lot of territory to explore. In the summer, you can hike, mountain bike or horseback ride more than 250 miles of trails. And in the winter, you have access to the largest cross-country ski network in the U.S. Indoors, travelers rest up at the on-site spa and pool areas with two hot tubs. For nourishment, head to the Wolf Creek Bar & Grill or The Dining Room, gourmet eateries that showcase regional ingredients from the Northwest. And finally, at night, you can retreat to your plush and spacious room, housed in one of four buildings. No matter which lodge you stay in, you'll find amenities like terry cloth robes, wireless Internet access and coffee makers.
