What a wonderful place

Aug 10th, 2019

Unfortunately we spend to many days in Miami Beach and had only one overnight stay at the Sunset Key Cottages but it was worth the 275 KM drive from Miami to Key West. It is not only an incredible beautiful place, an ideal island to relax and enjoy life. The cottages are a dream. The hospitality is extraordinary good (something our Hotel in Miami Beach could learn a lot from you guys!). My family and I we will come back soon and enjoy your place for an longer period. Thanks for making our stay so special! 👍🏻🍾 TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Place to stay in Key West! Plenty of room, pool, and restaurant. It is five star!!!

Cottages are awesome to stay-in. If you want a clean, comfortable place to stay it is here. Very Restful! You do pay for all the amenities and it is well earned. We did not go over to Key West for a few days. The restaurant had great views and the food is top notch. Staff is friendly as well. Beach is rocky in the water, but overall it was great because we can get in the water! No sea weed issues here. Water was clear blue. We will stay again in the future. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful resort minutes away from the Key West craziness

Jul 31st, 2019

The staff & property is beautiful. I love then island. The breakfast basket & Latitudes are amazing. There is no casual place to take screaming kids for dinner. The pool restaurant closes at 6pm. The cottages need major updating. It's very old. We have stayed in a 3 bedroom for the past 4 years during mini season. There is rust in the bathrooms. The dresser handles keep breaking off. Many of the cottages have ant problems. If we left food out for a few minutes, it will be covered in ants. There was usually ants crawling in our kitchen. The resort itself is amazing but the cottages are not worth the price. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

An amazing small, exclusive resort just minutes from Duval Street

Jul 29th, 2019

First, let me say that the staff from the Concierge team, to housekeeping, maintenance and the boat drivers are warm, friendly and helpful. We had a two bedroom, three full bath cottage for two couples. The cottages are quite large, well appointed (TV in every room and wifi throughout) and well docorated. The wraparound porch came with rocking chairs, table and chairs, Adirondack style chairs and even ceiling fans. Service was great with a breakfast hamper delivered every morning (fresh berries, yogurt, assorted whole fruit) and OJ delivered with the evening turndown service. Oh yeah, and in the afternoon one of the staff peddles a bike/freezer around to provide a treat of free gelato. The cottages are located a very quick 6 minute boat ride from the dock behind the Margaritaville Hotel and run back and forth every 15 minutes. This was our first trip to the Florida Keys and honestly, it will be pretty difficult to top our week at the Sunset Key Cottages. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great accommodation, service and food but not so great beach

Jul 24th, 2019

Stayed for a weekend getaway. We found the accommodation was very good. Spacious, spotless, good location far from the crowds at Key West, very good food- the best we experienced during our stay but not such a great beach. The ferry ride is short and punctual and only a few minutes from Key West. The resort is beautifully landscaped and the restaurant Latitudes has great food. The rooms are well equipped with a full kitchen and amenities in the bathroom. Really enjoyed dinner one night at Latitudes. the down side is the beach. It is very small with no place to swim. There is a large sign alerting swimmers to currents- however they dont point out that the currents are also caused by the ferry which runs every 30 minutes and passes right along the coastline in front of the beach. The beach is really a little strip of sand in front of the cottages. Going for a long walk/run along the beach is not possible:( Despite the lack of beach, the resort is pretty and from what we saw it is the most luxurious to stay in the area. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
