Love this place ❤️

Jun 24th, 2020

Needed a spot for a Father’s Day getaway close to home, after researching different places I haven’t stayed yet that met all the criteria I needed, restaurant on site, place for little one to run around, pool, awesome balcony. I called to ask a few questions, I got Manny on the phone and he made me feel like this was the exact right spot for us and went above and beyond to make sure everything was good for us, so an extra special thanks to him 🙏❤️. Couldn’t be happier with my choice. Will probably be booking another stay in a couple weeks for my birthday. The only thing I wish was that the pools were a little warmer. Other than that, I fell in love with this place 🥰 TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Thank you for a clean, safe, and pleasant stay! Staff had a level of kindness that exceeded traditional business pleasantries. Room service and available menu was great. A/C was capable of actually reaching the temperature I programmed it to reach, which made for a good nights sleep. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Stay

Apr 16th, 2020

This hotel is somehwat under the radar as it is tucked away on a side street in WeHo and typically not featured on any of the “best hotel” lists. We’ve come here quiet often and it is one of the places where you truly feel home. Location is perfect, just off Sunset Avenue. Staff is friendly and accomodating. Food at the main restaurant is great. Rooms are maybe a bit dated but we nonetheless felt comfy. Only con is the soundproofing so might go for a villa next time. Entire hotel area is wonderful with a beautiful garden and always a cool crowd consisting of guests and also locals at the bar. Extra plus is the partnership with Equinox so you can work out at the Equinox gym next door and blend in with the locals. Might not be the hotel of choice for everyone but we love it and will be back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

By far my favorite hotel in LA! This was my third time staying at your property and once again had an amazing time all around... your staff is absolutely fantastic! Your concierge i believe his name was Peter was the best and the gals who cleaned the room were also fantastic... will be back again soon! ~D TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Like An Aging Movie Star Past Its Prime

We stayed here recently (just before LA shut down on account of covid-19) for 5 nights. First, the positives: Great location if you want to be close to Sunset, be in West Hollywood or close to the Comedy Cellar. The hotel has a relationship with the Equinox gym right around the corner so you get to continue your workouts while on vacation or away on business. The staff is friendly. The bar1220 is a great place to unwind and the manager, Terry, is a wonderful person. The pours are generous and the cocktails are nicely done. The swimming pool and surrounding area are nice. In addition, the history of the hotel should be not overlooked. Its relationship with music is a real one and that is a positive. The negatives: Our standard king room was dated and musty-smelling. The room was likely remodelled about 10 years ago and for a hotel that positions itself as a luxury property we found the furniture in the room to be old and cheap-looking. In addition, the room had a wet, musty smell to it despite our turning on the heat and opening the window to get the dampness out of the room -- luckily we spent little time in the room. I tend to notice when fixtures are not levelled and many of the fixtures in our room (e.g. towel rack, lights in bathroom, headboard for bed) are noticeably crooked. As my wife remarked, "The room looks and feels like a Holiday Inn room". In summary, all the exterior features are nice but the interior has aged ungracefully. We tend to visit L.A. once every two years so we will be back but will not be staying at the Sunset Marquis. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
