Very nice staff in a very budget hotel
Aug 6th, 2019
We were traveling through Portland on a family road trip that included our puppy. I was very surprised at the cost compared for the quality of this place, but our pet limited our options. Be prepared for a run down place with no elevator. One of the beds had a big dip in it and there were several burn marks in the furniture and even on a sheet. However, the woman running the front desk when we checked in was one of the nicest people I have ever met and won this place an extra dot. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

When I checked in they gave me a room people were already in!! Glad man was nice about it when I open his door! Filthy dump would never stay again.Very noisy due to being on main road. microwave and coffee pot broken. requested wake up call they forgot! was late for meeting. There is no alarm in room to set yourself. carpet was filthy. hair in tub and on pillows. empty toilet paper holder.. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Worn out facility
Jul 28th, 2019
The property itself was acceptable but the room was just worn out. Smelled strongly of smoke that just plain permeated the room. Wall tile missing in bathroom. Worm out dirty carpet. Water stains on ceiling in several places. Outside room corners damaged to the point of seeing metal lath. Couldn't often open the door when entering due to damaged entry hardware. Had to leave someone inside to make it easier to enter. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

168 for a dirty room that had trash all over, and burn marks on everything. The fridge did not work and the carpet was very dirty. The pillows were flat and the cheapest quality that i have ever seen. I had no idea they even make them that cheap TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
This place made me believe in the word “Hospitality” again!

I’m going to leave out quite a bit as we would be here all day but here’s a long story short. I booked through hotels.com as I have about a hundred and fifty thousand times for work, paid online and went about my business. Expectedly they debit the funds from my account immediately (2 night stay Friday and Saturday for $256). Fast forward to 3 PM (we were already staying in the hotel and extended the reservation so at this point I thought everything was good to go) the manager, Tim, knocks on my door very obviously frustrated and inquired about what’s going on. I presented him with bank statements, emails, confirmation emails and receipts and he almost immediately goes into “this poor customer, I’m going to do whatever I can to help them” mode. Clearly he could tell I wasn’t trying to snake a free night out of him and he just genuinely wanted to help me and he did! He got a hold of someone in 4 minutes when I couldn’t reach that level in 4 decades! He spoke hotel language to them and totally went to bat for me as did Stephanie, the front desk lady...she was amazing too! So yes this may not be the Four Seasons and it may be a little out dated but to me the way I’m treated by the staff pushes all of that to the side. I am a very loyal person and would stay in a card board box with these people now. I drank the kool aid and am a believer! But really...don’t let the past few reviews deter you please. The manager takes his job very seriously and only wants his guests to have a safe and quiet stay. What else is promised really? Thank you Tim and staff for all that you did for me and continue to do for all our guests! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
