Nasty!

Apr 18th, 2020

False advertising at it’s best (worst?). I would have given 0 stars if possible. All of the pics are stock and do not reflect the terrible condition of this dated property. When I arrived, it was late and I had no choice but to stay since Co-vid 19 was limiting the amount of available Ubers plus the fact the location was in a bad part of town and I needed to get locked in for the night. Which, by the way, were not working very well. I had asked for their best and quietest room and since that’s what I got I can only imagine what the rest of the rooms were like. I would have demanded a refund and looked for something else but had to get up in 10 hours to catch my transportation back to Oklahoma. The room was dated, sticky, musty, and I caught a glimpse of the mattress that looked like it was 30 years old. The desk was falling apart along with the other furniture. Bathroom lights were flickering with what seemed to be a dangerous electrical short. The place was so nasty I slept on top of the comforter and didn’t dare get under the covers. Please understand, I drive trucks for a living and so I can put up with anything for a night, but this was almost impossible to put up with for even 10 hours. Won’t ever stay in ANY Magnuson property if this is how they allow their name to be represented. Avoid at all costs! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Reserved, paid but could not stay due to terrible smell and very poor condition.

Oct 21st, 2019

First we got a room with a bad water leak and all floor in bathroom was wet and the toilet tank was dripping not mentioning very bad smell and poor lighting in the room. So we asked for another room which was much more stinky and disgustng. We desided that better to loose money and not to stay at this place. For me, not the very picky guy, it was the worst hotel I ever saw. This hotel needs to be checked by the officials. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Terrible

Out dated not well maintained, sink backed up with sewage. Entire hotel should be renovated. One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. And I have done a lot of traveling and stayed at many hotels. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This hotel should be inspected by the health department and closed

My Wife and I checked in the hotel for one night, first of all the photos that are shown online bear no resemblance whatsoever to reality. First of all they show a pool, there is no pool and the rooms shown appear light and airy, not so, this is false advertising. The carpet in the room is filthy and does not look like it was leaned since it was installed. The light fixtures are rusty and some don’t work and are barely hanging on the wall. There is a gap around the door and the noise level from the freeway is really loud partly because the walls appear to be very thin and you can hear people talking in the next room. Although we had paid for the room we checked out and found a decent hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lois is wonderful

Jul 5th, 2019

Booked last minute at about 1am because me and my friends were in a terrible accident on our way back to North Carolina, from Miami. The room was fine, for the price we paid. Could have been better, but could have been worse, but it was perfect for what we needed it for- just to sleep. The room did smell like cigarettes, even though we chose a non-smoking one, but that was the least of our worries at the time. Due to us being in an accident and totaling our car, we were forced to wait until my friends mother could drive down from North Carolina to come get us the next afternoon. Because of this, we needed a late check out. Lois at the front desk was VERY understanding and helpful and let us stay until my friends mother arrived. She was so nice and noticed that we were all injured from the accident, so she gave us her personal icy-hot spray, out of the kindness of her heart. We were so thankful for her, and appreciate what she did for us. Thank you Lois!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
