Critic Reviews

One of just a few true mega-resorts in Southern California, the 100-acre, 582-room Terranea in Rancho Palos Verdes offers a range of features that's unrivaled among Los Angeles-area properties, including a top-tier spa, nine holes of golf, six restaurants, three pools, and gorgeous, manicured grounds.

Condé Nast Traveler

This rambling resort on the Palos Verdes Peninsula overlooking Catalina Island 'feels more Mediterranean than Southern California.' ... The 102-acre estate has bungalows, casitas, and villas with granite countertops, hardwood floors, and vaulted ceilings.

Its magnitude and amenities are unequaled in Los Angeles. Commanding 102 acres of hilly coastline, only one-quarter of which the resort occupies, its greatest amenities are fresh air, open space, and leisure to take advantage of them.

With the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island within view, L.A.'s only full-service oceanfront resort straddles 102 terraced acres at land's end on the scenic Palos Verdes Peninsula, making it popular with families and romance-seekers.

Travel + Leisure

Terranea is the ultimate stay-cation for L.A. locals. It's just a quick drive from the central city, and the sprawling 102-acre oceanside property offers sweeping views of the Pacific, several dining options, yoga classes, fire pits, three heated pools, and a place where both adults and children can unwind.
