Unpalatable local spirits and mixers = undrinkable cocktails

Oct 19th, 2019

We were in the last batch of holidaymakers for the season, and loved the quiet atmosphere of the hotel. Sunbeds aplenty by the pool; always a table outside in the evening by the bar; no queues for drinks or food; a peaceful swim in the huge pool which actually has a real deep end. It didn’t matter that the décor of the bungalows was on the basic side: the beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean and quiet, and the overall aesthetics of the site were very pleasant. Lovely to hear the sea at night from our small patio with table & chairs. But why provide only 1 roll of toilet paper in the bathroom as standard practice? And why was it such a big deal to obtain 2 keys for our room? The food was pleasant, plentiful and varied, right up to the last day the hotel was open, with freshly-cooked omelettes/pancakes/fried eggs at breakfast while you waited. The coffee was really good and the wine more drinkable than in other All Inclusives we have stayed in. But the cocktails were unforgettably awful. Thanks to cheap mixers (no excuse when a Lidl on Kos could surely provide something drinkable) and local spirits, even a G&T was unrecognisable as such and undrinkable to boot. We tried the tonic by itself and it was awful. As for the cocktails, we never got to the bottom of what made them taste so vile, but stuck to wine and ouzo. Loved the location as we were AI; finding a shop or local restaurant would be a challenge. But the bus into Kos Town is 3 mins walk from reception and is pretty frequent. 2 euros each way, but buying tickets from the white kiosk where the bus stops in town brings the price down slightly. Good luxurious hotel

Oct 12th, 2019

Very nice hotel located just on the outskirts of Kos city in a nice and quiet area. A very nice beach is just a short walk from the hotel and the staff was always available for any requests that we had. I would recommend though to hiring a motorcycle or a quad so the transportation from and to the hotel would be easier and convenient, TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lovely resort

Oct 10th, 2019

My friend and I stayed here last week in the beach front bungalows in the premier area which was beautiful and cleaned daily. All the staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Food was good but best to get there early so that you have more choice. Waiters were very helpful too. Only downside was that entertainment had all stopped in the evening by the time we arrived as we was classed as end of the season. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Hotel

Oct 7th, 2019

Third visit to Island but first to this hotel. Check-in good and all staff very friendly. Clean room on top floor of main building overlooking car park which we booked. One advantage being there is it's quiet at night if entertaiment on and get's sun in morning. There were comfy beds and pre-requested a kettle for room. Food good and waiters are lovely. Only thing we found was the English people were a minority on our stay, not that it bothered us. Be aware that hotel is in a quiet area with no shops around and only one restaurant down the road. Catch a Taxi or bus to Town or go to next beach up Tigaki, which is fab for day out. H/b more value than AI as some snack food you get charged for (pizza) by pool snack bar. You can change evening meal to lunchtime if you are going out in night. If you plan to explore the island then it's a waste of AI. Entertainment for the week consisted of two Greek dancers, and other singers, plus 1980's disco. Saturday night had nothing. Overall had a great week and would return. Thank you for a lovely holiday at your hotel! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Summer holiday

Oct 6th, 2019

In relation to the hotel everything seemed okay on arrival but within 24 hours this quickly changed as the locations too far from anywhere walking distance so its either buses or taxis which aren't cheap. The food was always buffet and can only be described as poor forcing us to eat at the hotel bar next door. All drink where well over priced compared to bars or shops in Kos......
