Beautiful property in a wonderful location

Oct 19th, 2019

We spent 3 weeks in southern Italy and the Ashbee was one of our very favorite places to stay! The view from the main lobby and restaurant is fabulous - the entire bay! The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was in a separate building on the top floor. We did not have a view but we had a somewhat private garden patio where you could read outside. Our room was very pretty and comfortable. The hotel is a just a short walk from the main tourist area of Taormina so walking to dinner or historic sites was very easy. While it was a bit cool when we visited, we didn't swim but the area by the pool is beautiful. Staying here was truly a joy! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

An LHW hotel in prime position in Taormina

Oct 8th, 2019

Friendly and helpful staff as you would expect from an LWH hotel. Breakfast is on the rooftop with an amazing view of the sea and mainland on one side and town just moments away to the other. The gym is outdoors with a stunning view of the sea but not much good other than for a run or cycle to work off all the carbs whilst in Sicily! I took a hotel car to the airport and enjoyed a good chat with Fabio, the driver. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Luxury hotel in a posh place

Oct 7th, 2019

After spending the first 4 nights of our trip staying with a friend in Palermo and Cefalu, we decided to splurge a bit on the Ashbee hotel. It is pricey but there is a lot that you get for that price. Service is what you would expect from a luxury hotel. Everyone we met was helpful and attentive. Parking was a breeze (which was not the case with many of the hotels we stayed at in Sicily). Since we were only there one night, we didn't get to enjoy as many of the hotel's amenities as we would have liked. They were nice enough to get us a few things for breakfast early on our day of departure as we had to boogie to get up to Etna by 9 Am for a hiking trip and their breakfast service didn't start until 8. Showers are very nice and the two rooms that we had were spacious, clean and comfortable. Beautiful views from the bar/pool area that will make your friends jealous. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Overpriced with entitled rude staff

Oct 1st, 2019

For nearly £500 a nigh you will get a an average rooms. Infested with mosquitos .... ordered a drink at the bar and the bar man aggressively said he doesnt have the ingriedients ... then he started talking Italian to a fellow worker in a funny way looking at me in my bikinis... thank you for your creepy service. Seriously get properly trained staff for £500 a night TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent location

Sep 15th, 2019

We stayed with children in their family room. Room was clean and comfortable, surprisingly not noisy although it was facing the busy road. Breakfast was fine, but expected more choices of fresh fruits and bread, swimming pool is small but nice and has fantastic view of the sea. Service was very good. We had drinks in the evening, and the drinks were very expensive. One disturbing thing was that there were some people, clearly not staying in the hotel but just visiting during the day, being by the swimming pool taking endless amount of instagram photos...
