Amazing Anniversary Trip!

Feb 23rd, 2020

What a fantastic resort! The food was amazing and the level of service was excellent. Loved the beach and really enjoyed the hydrotherapy at the spa. The one thing that stood out to me was how seriously they took food allergies (which was really important to me as I have a couple severe ones) compared to other resorts I have been to. We will definitely be back❤️ TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Birthday Getaway

Feb 22nd, 2020

My husband and I went to The Beloved for a quick 3 night birthday getaway (our 5th time there) and it was our best trip yet! As always we were warmly welcomed by MEX CRUZ. Check in was a breeze, had a quick shot of tequila and off to our usual 1st lunch at El Mar where you just can’t beat the view. By the time we finished our lunch our room was ready, we did a swim up this time room 304 which we LOVED! WALTER ALFARO, Guest Services Manger, made sure our trip was nothing less than perfect! He is truly a gem. I would like to give a well-deserved mention to FELIPE Beach Concierge, OSCAR who always made sure our glasses were full, KENIA who made sure we had all that we needed for our Beach dinner which was deliciously prepared by CHEF GIOVANNI, PASQUALE at the Lobby Bar who made the BEST martinis. ALBERTO who is the HEART AND SOUL of Lupita Lounge. I just can’t imagine it without him. MOISES our server at La Isla was very entertaining. And although we didn’t see JESUS down at the beach, we did see him hustling away at La Isla. He remembered us right away and came over to our table to welcome us back. While the resort is beautiful, it is the STAFF that keeps us coming back!! Can’t wait to return in March!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very Nice Place

Feb 22nd, 2020

My wife and I enjoyed our visit to Beloved. Just got back this week. Pro's 1. Room was very big. We had a swim out in Building 2 and really loved it. 2. Spa and Gym were very nice. Definitely do the free Hydrotherapy. Really well done. 3. Great service on the beach and at the pool. Best service I have ever has at an all inclusive. 4. The beach is small, but nice. Palapas were nice....water was clean and clear. Con's 1. My room was warm. In fact, one night I had to sleep on the couch under the fan because I was so warm. I told the manager and they brought me a fan right then. I was fine after that. 2. You would not think this would be an issue, but the pillows sucked. My wife and I both had an issue with that. 3. Service in the restaurants was good, but spotty. The hosts in a few of the restaurants were not very nice. It did not seem like they wanted to be there. Since they are the face of the restaurant you would think they would put there best people there. Moises and David were excellent servers... Overall, it is a very nice place, but it is not a top tier hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Best vacation yet!

Feb 22nd, 2020

My wife and I traveled to Beloved for her birthday and had an amazing trip. The staff here went over and above anything we could have imagined. Walter the GSM truly went out of his way all week to ensure that we had everything we needed. Marcelina made us some amazing authentic mexican dishes throughout the week. Oscar and Luis took great care of us at the beach as well as Felipe, Liliana and Jesus. The food was top notch in all of the restaurants but it is truly the staff that keeps us coming back. Beloved shows the love

Feb 22nd, 2020

My wife and I just returned from a 9 day stay at this amazing resort. We had some previous positive experience with Excellence properties and so wanted to try the Beloved. It's smaller , more personal "boutique" nature appealed to us. We are so glad we took the plunge. The property itself is located right next to the Excellence Playa Mujeres on a lovely stretch of beach far north of the big hotels in Cancun. They said that it only has 109 rooms, which would translate to 218 people but you would never know even that many people were staying. It is the most uncrowded, relaxing resort we have ever experienced. The most crowded place is the beach area but even that is not a problem. Lounge chairs are always available. Dinner reservations are never required at any of the 4 excellent restaurants. Food is great, and the drinks top notch. The thing that most impressed us however, was the amazing staff. Excellence hotels pride themselves--and rightly so-- on great staff, but this group truly exceeeded our greatest expectations. I would be remiss if I did not acknowlefge some of them: Ingrid, our sweet, charming hostess for breakfast at the Le Bisou restaurant, Jared, our waiter at the same place, Felipe, the baron of the beach area who saw to it that we were set up every morning. Oscar, our terrific beach waiter who was always ready with the "drink of the day"--man, he worked hard. Daniel who was always ready at the swim-up bar with his fantastic concoctions. Luis, and Eduardo were also an important part of the whole pool operation. Victor, our kind and charming breakfast waiter at La Isla (a nicer spot for breakfast would be hard to find). Pamela as well was a delight. Lola was our spa attendant for our complimentary hydro-therapy ( I highly recommend that you take advantage of this!), and did a great job. Every evening we would have pre-dinner cocktails, and after dinner drinks at the Lupito Lounge, a beautiful area right off the main lobby. Every night they have some sort of classy entertainment-- jazz trios, violinist, reggae band, flamenco dancers, etc. It's all very professional and very relaxing. The guy who pretty much oversees all this is the friendly, convivial Alberto. Special thanks and kudos to Alberto. All these employees as well as all the others who constanly greet you with smiles and "Hola!" deserve the credit for making our stay truly memorable. Other thoughts and observations: One of our favorite things was that every day they would have a theme for lunch and prepare these great dishes right down at the beach. They would do ceviche one day, paella the next, then fajitas, hamburgers, etc. Also, they would have theme dinner nights--"white" party, Mexican dinner night (a great buffet in the Lupito Lounge complete with mariachi band, and folk dancers). Rooms are beautiful with everything you might need. The grounds of the resort are magnificent and constantly being maintained. Tipping is appreciated but in no way do the employees have their hand out. With the service you get at this place, you'll be anxious to spread a little $ around. Thanks Beloved, it was great TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
