Top-Notch Concierge

Just a quick shout out to Robert Martinez who is the Chief Concierge at the Biltmore. He went above and beyond taking care of planning for our weekend. He was so helpful and knowledgeable. Can’t say enough great things about this gentleman. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Gracious Through The Ages

Stayed three nights at Biltmore while attending Jim McClean Golf School. COVID-19 restrictions were in place, and enforced. Staff, however, were wonderful at providing gracious and enjoyable 'work-arounds'. Expected limited staffing, but to a person, those that were there worked double time to make our stay enjoyable. The Golf School, BTW, is first rate! I could not imagine a better set up (Designed by Jim). He and his staff and team of instructors are second to none. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great property and service

Very comfortable, accommodating and totally safe for Covid 19. Resort style including sports and leisure. The resort fee is additional though. Being off season, the prices were rather convenient too. Great restaurants at hotel prices, but good portions! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Another Great Anniversary

From start to finish, our stay was beautiful. It is both an iconic and scenic property. We arrived and were greeted warmly at the front desk by Janelle and were able to check in early. We decided to include a Florida residency bonus onto our stay which provided a wonderful breakfast the following morning (check-out). We arrived to a room which had a beautiful view of the front of the property; the hotel staff were aware of the purpose of our stay and it showed that they cared about our special day. When we arrived at our room we couldn't figure out the remote control for our t.v. and the hotel concierge sent a technician up immediately. Our reservation at the restaurant downstairs definitely exceeded our expectations; our server Jalima was so attentive and friendly. The food was amazing! The bar on the first floor (LL) was managed by Octavio, who was also very friendly and provided great historical context to satisfy anyone's curiosity. As to the pool, although we didn't use it, the grounds were kept clean/beautifully. I noticed that there were friendly staff everywhere to orient guests to their destinations (i.e. rooms, pool, restaurants). In conclusion, what an incredible experience! I am a Miami native, and am so happy to see this jewel of a building continue to entertain guests from one generation to the next. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Uncourteous and Apathetic Staff

My stay at The Biltmore was quite honestly one of the worse American Express travel experiences I have had. During my stay my wife and I were using the hotel's archaic elevators which quite honestly would be best served as relics in a museum. My wife (who is pregnant) was stuck in lobby elevator for over 15 min. The only intervention that was taken was that Fire and Rescue was called NON-EMERGENTLY. Why would fire and rescue be called non-emergently for a pregnant woman stuck in an elevator who was now feeling short of breath I have no idea. Luckily, we were able to crack the elevator door again before fire and rescue arrived but the head of security wanted to RE-CLOSE the elevator to try and open it again before EMS arrived. I had to insist that she not close the door because my wife was claustrophobic and having trouble breathing. When someone is stuck in an elevator the priority should be on removing the patron SAFELY not re-closing the doors and trying to fix the elevator. While I understand these things are difficult to prevent the hotel's non-chalant and unhurried response left us feeling perturbed. We did not even receive an acknowledgment of this incident, not even at check out. When I discussed the case with management they said they would get back to me and never did. Will never stay in this hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
