The hotel was top notch. Being in the 40th floor was a great feeling and the morning coffee watching the sunrise over the lake was irreplaceable. Because it is such a small hotel in terms of room number you get very personalized service. This place will make you feel not only at home but also 100% safe in the city. There wasn’t anything spectacular about the rooms that made them wildly unique or fancy. They were simple and elegant. The young gal working the night shift went out of her way to find feminine supplies for my wife when everything was closed. She was amazing!!! The staff was some of the best we have ever had including the cleaning crew. This is now our go to hotel for Chicago. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great Views, Crap Area and Service

Great views. But it's not a good area, especially at night and really nowhere good close to eat or go out. Additionally, be careful when you check in. Hidden resort fee as well as giving you a card key that simply gives you access to the office area. But apparently, you need to return this card key, which no one told me about. And now they are trying to charge me $30 for it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The Hotel is on the 40th Floor of the Stock Exchange Building. The room was very large, clean and well appointed. There is a guest lounge and a "Help yourself" breakfast is provided. The views are wonderful. the hotel is close to the Blue Line in from O'Hare International Airport and there are several places to eat close by. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Wow . . . It was bad

Pros: Nice views easy access to public transit management did reduce bill to compensate for the terrible stay. Cons: Not very clean - I have included pictures that I took as we walked in the room. Window shade would not open (We could not see the view!!) the front desk said they had 'placed several work orders" but it had not been fixed yet (so they know this before they put is in the room). The manager ended up zip tying up the shade so we could see out the window but were unable to close it when sleeping and had to wake up with the sun each morning. Very hard to get ahold of Front desk - One night our son got sick in the bed and we needed to change the sheets @ 2:30am. After unsucessfully trying to reach the desk for 30 min. a building security guard got a hold of the front desk staff and she told us we could not have sheets because she was "not trained do that." We explained that we would put the sheets on ourselves if she could just give them to us - She said "NO" and that we would have to wait until housekeeping staff arrived at 6am. Unbelievable! After much discussion she eventually gave us king size sheets for the queen bed. We are still shocked that a hotel would ask us to wait up through the night for clean sheets. There was no extra toilet paper rolls in the room and we had to call down for another role ( the front dest was willing to bring that up, thankfully). We asked front dest staff 3 times to talk to the hotel general manager - each time we were told the manager was unavailable, off property, or unreachable. We were given a card with the managers phone number - left a voice mail but our call was never returned. A day manager took our phone number one day and said that she would talk to the GM and call us later but she never did. We had to take 4 elevators to get to our car. They did move fairly quickly but it is something to consider if you will be coming and going a lot. All in all I would not reccomend this hotel for tourists or families. We would not stay here again. First the pros: the room was spacious and had a wonderful view. The guest lounge was comfortable and well stocked with yogurt, fruit, coffee machine, fridge and microwave. There weren’t many rooms, so it was quiet and felt private. Now the cons: There was no one at the front desk when we arrived. We called several times, no answer. Finally, the attendants showed up (I guess from an errand) and the check in process began. The elevator got us up to the 39th floor and the door wouldn’t open. After nearly 2 panicked minutes of pushing buttons, the elevator brought us back to the main floor, where the attendant said she needed to give us access (by way of our room/entry cards). Second time, worked. The parking lot doors were closed so we were not sure at first of where to park. We double parked until the attendant showed up. It was a bit stressful. There was no in/out permitted in the lot The room looked clean, but some things were GROSS. I’ve included photos. The biggest was the greasy looking hand prints on the headboard. Also the sheets seemed to be “clean” but were stained. Wallpaper peeling from the wall. Skid marks in the otherwise beautiful bathtub: The hotel is too classy looking (and costly) for such poor upkeep. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
