Simply Perfect

Jul 14th, 2019

I have never stayed in a more perfect place. My husband and I stayed in the Susan room in the Garden House. The room was beautiful, and the entire property lovingly cared for. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed getting to know other guests while dining. And while eating, the room was being made up! The owners and staff thought of absolutely everything a guest could possibly want or need...from a jewelry holder on the night stand to the umbrellas waiting on the front porch for us to use on that one rainy night, so we could take the short walk into town for dinner...everything was anticipated. There were snacks available in both the Garden House and Mansion kitchens from cheese and crackers to baked goods make on premises, as well as coffee, tea, iced tea and after dinner wine. The staff was very friendly and helpful with restaurant and site seeing recommendations. I hope to return soon. Thank you to all at The Captain Lord Mansion for a wonderful first visit to Maine. Captain Lord Mansion - review

Jul 7th, 2019

Captain Lord Mansion was a very quaint, elegant place to stay. The breakfast served was very tasty, and the location of the mansion was within easy walking distance to the many restaurants and shops in Kennebunkport. Thank you for a great stay! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location and fine room

Jul 6th, 2019

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and the room was well appointed and a good size (Lincoln). The bed requires a two step to get up into, but was very comfortable! The breakfast was very good, but we wish there was a way to have more than the 2 choices for times (8:15 or 9:45am) and the ability to choose omelets/fried eggs when the set menu wasn't what we were desiring. They did offer soft boiled eggs. Loved having bikes available to ride each day to burn a few calories and not have to worry about car parking at beach/town/Walker's Point, etc. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The Loft at the Mansion is wonderful!

Jul 3rd, 2019

My husband and I recently stayed in the Loft at the Mansion for our anniversary and it is a wonderful place to stay. While the Loft is not decorated the same as the rest of the rooms and the main house at the Mansion it is a warm and cozy retreat with touches of modern flair and modern amenities. If you have stayed at the Mansion before and enjoyed the wonderful hospitality and attention to their guests' needs then you will have a whole new appreciation of what the Loft offers. It is spacious yet cozy, modern yet rustic, filled with light yet private and serene. The kitchenette has a full size fridge, dishwasher and microwave. The modern touches balance out the dark wood beams throughout the Loft that give it a farmhouse feel. So glad we choose the Loft for our stay! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Gracious Inn

A very classy, historic house. We stayed in Champion room which is beautiful and with a sumptuous bathroom. Breakfast served communally in two sittings was excellent and all freshly made. A very pleasant 10-15 min walk to the town centre. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
