Great Stay

Mar 4th, 2021

The two bedroom condos are very nice. The ski in ski out is great. The Charter probably has the best fitness center of any ski lodge I have stayed in. Finally Of special note is the concierge staff particularly Steve who was helpful in every possible way. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Budget lodging with 4 star price

Feb 1st, 2021

We stayed 11 nights at The Charter, feel very unimpressed and let down by the whole experience. First, it is not ski in out. There is a 5 minute walk to the ski area, a charter bus, or a lift that you have to manage how to catch since they don't let you wear ski boots in the property (you have to carry your alternative shoes to the base in your hands and leave them there). The rooms are dated and tired, with old appliances that do not work properly (like non cooling old fridge). The housekeeping service is bad, rooms are dirty which was especially dangerous because we went on covid times. There were many guests not respecting covid rules and nobody at The Charter seemed to care. The worst is the staff, very unattentive, they hardly say a "Good morning" to you. Paid almost 800 per night for a 2 bedroom unit and feel that is not value for the money. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The lady working the front desk was so considerate and accommodating after an issue with our arrival date. The following day I went down to talk to the GM, Ryan MacLachlan. I told him my name he immediately told me he knew the situation and was already taking care of it and he called me to let me know everything was good to go. Ryan was WONDERFUL! Unit 6350 was SPECTACULAR, location, views, and comfort! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Skiing trip March 2020

Apr 20th, 2020

Arrived early am for day of skiing not expecting to be able to check in the room but it was ready and they allowed early check in. It was not expected and a nice surprise to be able to get settled in room prior to a day of skiing. The bed was very comfortable and the room had everything and more. The arrangement of the complex is odd and confusing for a first time visitor but we were able to figure it out . Ski in and out was a nice feature but my understanding is not all rooms are configured to have this option.I would certainly stay again ,top notch. I was concerned that people complained that it was getting run down, that was not our experience and was very happy with our ski trip. I was even happier since everything was shut down for covid19 the week after we left and we’re able to get our annual ski trip in.It is probably one reason I am keeping sane these days during lock in social distancing. Affordable lodging great location

Mar 18th, 2020

This place was the perfect lodging location for our Beaver Creek ski trip! From the checkin process through the entire stay and checkout, we received excellent customer service. I was happy to see how convenient it was to ski in ski out- some have mentioned on the reviews here that it is not, but it is- if you take the time to learn how the trail passes by both the front and rear of the building. Getting on the Elk trail lift each morning was easy. You may also take the complimentary shuttle though if wanted the main chairlift. We had a very nice Mountain View room with a comfortable bed and nice linens plus a comfy robe. This was a nice feature to head down to the outdoor hottubs each night with a nice gas fire-pit beside us also. Kat the manager and Renee the concierge were very nice and knowledgeable. Renee took the time happily to explain how to ride the express bus to Vail- only $7- for an added bonus ski day to a different resort. The front desk staff gave us good restaurant choices and other tips and the doorman pleasantly held our luggage for us until Epic shuttle (highly recommended) arrival on our departure day. When we return to BC it will be here to stay as it was the best place, terrific customer service and affordable as well. Easy 10 minute walk to the village for dining at night and for Thursday night fireworks or shopping. Spoiler alert: don’t forget to get a free fresh baked cookie each day at the bottom of the slopes! This hotel and ski resort is top notch! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
