Fabulous Low Country

Fabulous Old Georgian Charm with impeccable service and food. Great for couples, family or group outings. River front or ocean front lodging. The spa is one of the best I have ever experienced. Will be back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We had the best experience at the Cloister and would recommend this property to everyone. I loved the Garden House! It was absolutely amazing! It was the first time I was on this property and it will not be the last. The room was fabulous and the bathroom was amazing!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Missing the old days...

Jan 21st, 2020

The Cloister is a lovely resort. The grounds are immaculate and the rooms are among the most luxurious I have ever stayed in. That being said, after a couple of dinners featuring lackluster service and tables of screaming children, I felt myself missing the days when dinner was a bit more formal and the service was over the top attentive. If I weren't comparing it to the experiences I have had in the past, I would probably have given it 5 stars. However, little details (eg. the 22 percent mandatory spa tip) left me feeling that the Cloister is slipping somewhat in the way it presents itself to guests. Still a nice property though.
