The best part of this hotel for me is the location. It’s located right on the circle which you just can’t beat. The hotel has a ton of history and the common areas are magnificent. The room itself was clean and very comfortable. The view we had wasn’t great but not every room can have an awesome view. Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to try out the restaurant in the hotel so I can’t comment on that, but I would definitely recommend this hotel and would visit there again myself. No way is this a "Four-Star Hotel"

I had actually booked a four-star hotel nearby, but it was overbooked due to several conventions in town. Since I wasn't part of a convention, the hotel kindly booted me and made me a reservation at the Columbia Club, which they claimed was a comparable four-star hotel. I had booked a clean, contemporary room at the Sheraton, and instead got this dirty, run-down, outdated room with only FRIGID water at all times. The carpet was old and gross and stained all over, the paint was cracked and peeling everywhere, and there was so much built-up grime all over the bathroom and tile. Their lobby is beautiful, and I'm sure they have very nice rooms elsewhere in the hotel, but I'm guessing they didn't want to waste a nice room on overflow from another hotel. The only positive things I can say are that it was a place to sleep, a good location, and the staff we dealt with were kind. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Not all it’s cracked up to be

The public areas of the Columbia club are absolutely beautiful. Old world charm with a lot of wood and beautiful details. However the rooms are outdated, the beds hard as a rock and uncomfortable, and the sheets are scratchy. This is the third time I’ve stayed there and it is the first time I have been able to have hot water in the shower. This time I had a suite so I had ample room and it was a much more comfortable space than the regular rooms. They were unprepared for a group to be leaving at the same time and it took an hour to get my car from valet. The staff however is extremely friendly and helpful. That fact and the beautiful public spaces are why I give this an average rather than a poor rating TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We came here for a wedding and reception. They are located right on the circle. It’s a very large facility with stately rooms. Their large ballroom where the wedding dinner was especially beautiful. The service and food was excellent. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Fine hotel, great value

I was skeptical given some mixed reviews—especially about the plumbing (hot water). We just did a quick stay overnight to do the Colts game on Sunday. Price was awesome compared to other hotels that day (a Saturday). This is the only hotel on the circle. It’s a club, so the reservation was through booking.com (no direct reservations). Beautiful place. Check in was a breeze. Part of the room key “envelope” was a card that you would use to charge any club/hotel amenities to your room. Elevators are fairly modern. Room floor smelled nice. Room smelled nice also—good enough that my GF remarked how nice it smelled more than once. We were in a corner room; no real view (not facing the circle). Room (single King) was small, but quaint. Not a lot of storage; wardrobe with TV, coffee maker, no fridge, desk chair. Really that’s all you could fit in this room. Bathroom was updated. Issues I saw about fixtures were not true in this room. It was all updated. I was surprised they had a modern, powerful flushing toilet but man, it was a loud one! But no complaints there. We had absolutely no issues with water temperature for showers. The bed is really firm, but I was fine with it. Comforter and pillows were great. Room temp was fine. Neat place. There were functions going on and it was kind of open, but didn’t seem to be a problem. All in all, we had a pretty good stay and a definite option for future visits. Photo is the room off he entrance. Reception desk is off to the right. This was closed off when we arrived for a formal function. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
