The Best Temple University Location

Dec 10th, 2019

Is your student considering attending Temple University and you need a close place to stay? Look no further! The Conwell Inn is located right on campus and adjacent to the Campus Police. This hidden little gem is also nestled right next to Saxby’s amazing coffee house. There is a connecting door from the lobby, so you don’t even have to venture out into the cold in search of your Liquid Courage! The Conwell Inn also offers complimentary Keurig coffee and hot tea in its quaint lobby all day along with cookies in the evening. Although the hotel is a bit dated, it is clean, cozy, and easier on parent’s wallets than the hotels downtown. The convenience of being within only a few minutes’ walk from most of campus is absolutely priceless. Conwell Inn earns an A for location and price in my book! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Disappointing

Dec 1st, 2019

It was a dark and stormy night. A cold rain whipped through the alleyway as we parked in the tiny lot, so discreet as to be nearly undetectable. We dragged our roll-on travel bag through the inclement weather to the front of the inn and stood at the desk for five minutes. No bell, no staff, no phone. When an employee appeared, she was curt and ambivalent. We finally reached our room on the third floor, expectations already lowered. The well-worn room was like a sauna, and we found there was no way to cool it (no AC in winter). Carpet was worn, furnishings dated. When we returned to the front desk and waited to ask about a vending machine to get drinks, we were told “go outside, take a left and there’s a 7/11.” Ice is available, but only in a creepy basement area. No refrigerator in our room. The only positive we could come up with is the Conwell Inn’s convenient location. We were here to bring our freshman Owl back after Thanksgiving break, and the Inn is convenient to campus. At the price we paid, however, I think we’ll find a hotel with a few amenities and climate-controlled rooms next time. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Tricky to find

Jun 25th, 2019

What a great hotel. The location on Temple campus was perfect. The hotel is quaint with character. The room was huge and had a step down bedroom. A few things were out dated in the room, but it was super clean and quiet. If you are in the area stay here!!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Temple Medical School

May 28th, 2019

I ended up staying here because it is close to where my daughter is now living off campus. However this hotel is definitely on campus. Please beware that the road to park for the hotel is hidden so make sure you download and follow the directions. The room we had is spacious and clean. My complaint is it needs some sprucing up and the vending area for ice, in the basement, is kinda creepy. The staff is very helpful. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very nice!

May 20th, 2019

We had a suite...only 150.00...which included a sitting room and a bedroom. Very clean, neat, even interesting. T.V. in both rooms. The hotel has been restored so very pleasant to stay. The bed was king-sized and very comfortable. The young man who checked us in was very friendly with a big smile. Very welcoming. Was very pleasantly surprised. Could have spent alot more money for a hotel in Philly and it wouldn't have been this nice. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
