Do not recommend

Sep 25th, 2020

We picked Cosmopolitan over our usual Caesars simply because of the open balcony. Given the current pandemic we are in and the airborne characteristics of the virus, we thought it would be safer to stay in a room that facilitates clean/open air flow. Turned out that our assumptions were incorrect. The hotel lacked proper COVID19 safety precautions - no handwashing stations to be seen anywhere, guests are allowed to walk around without masks, no temperature checks conducted at the entrances, smell of weed permeated throughout the hallways, even into our room and definitely out at the balcony - the very reason we paid higher prices for the suite. There are very few tables with plexi glass partitions, the casino floor was packed with people especially Friday-Saturday that made social distancing totally impossible. Room was not thoroughly cleaned - found pieces of hair underneath the duvet and a stain on the flat sheet; had to request for extra bedding to throw over the dirty bedsheet because we didn’t want housekeeping to enter the room during our stay. Everything the hotel stated about their safety protocols is just a facade- none of that was effectively enforced. The clientele is also significantly different from that of hotels like Caesars, Wynn or Bellagio; we understand this is Vegas but the type of crowd Cosmopolitan attracts leaves much to be desired, especially during this time. A strong NO on our recommendation; health authorities need to look into their safety standards, please TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful hotel...Hidden fees

Sep 25th, 2020

Pro: A beautiful hotel! This was probably my favorite hotel in Vegas. Loved the restaurants in the hotel(make reservations far in advance as possible, especially if you’re there for the weekend.) Con: Didn’t care for the Spa services, it was rushed. And be prepared for hidden fees! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent Hotel

Sep 23rd, 2020

My wife and I loved this place. Clean, modern, most beautiful looking staff everyone- especially, the pool girls. The poolside drinks were reasonably priced, staff was super professional, A+ all the way. Oh, the food was really great at the pool and all the food places within the hotel as well. We'll be back for sure. George & Tricia Will, Portland OR TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent Stay with some Kinks

Sep 23rd, 2020

I stayed this past weekend for two nights for my friends birthday. I enjoyed my stay as I always do BUT there were definitely more kinks this trip. 1. ROOM: I had a two queen terrace studio, room was clean but the COVID sanitary kits were not there and there was only one robe so I had to call housekeeping for those. We also ran out of toilet paper and kleenex during the two night stay so had to call down for those. However, housekeeping was always prompt and arrived quickly and gave excellent service. One thing I will also note is that our ENTIRE floor reeked of pot and cigarettes when we left for dinner our first night, I called the front desk to let them know and the next morning the hall didnt smell, dont know if they did anything or the smell just dispersed. The jet tub in the room also dispelled some weird black and brown flaky residue so we had to refill the tub several times because it must have come from the piping or something which was pretty gross. 2. FOOD: We ate at Milos, Secret Pizza, and the Henry on this trip. Milos was excellent as always, salmon cooked perfectly as always, and the restaurant was quite busy, HOWEVER I did see someone with basketball shorts and that seemed odd considering the dress code. Secret Pizza was excellent as always, and the service was great. The Henry on the other hand I had a slight problem with. They did an excellent job at social distancing and keeping it clean and I felt safe BUT I ordered the avocado smoked salmon toast and there was barely ANY avocado and the toast pieces were NOTICEABLY smaller than last time I ordered it so that was a bit disappointing. Other than that, the steak & eggs, tea, eggs benedict were all good. The biegnets however were not as crispy as last time so that was a slight disappointment. CASINO: it was VERY CROWDED. It was IMPOSSIBLE to social distance with how many people there were and I agree with a lot of people that there is a very different clientele in town now with the pandemic, the low rates, etc. The electric scooter crowd was abundant here, as is the riff raff we are used to seeing now on the strip. I also saw LOTS of kids which I never usually see here. Staff seemed very good at trying to clean slot machines and keep the place tidy but it was just way too crowded. I wish they would keep wipes in the casino for the machines. Guests also did NOT follow the 4 to elevator rule and was jam packed in elevators all weekend. CHECK IN/CHECK OUT: Checked in around noon on Friday without issues, but check out I ran into another problem. Stood in line for about 30 minutes at noon on Sunday and asked to have my points cover some of the charges. The agent got on the phone and told me its going to take a while and if I didnt want to wait I could go and she would apply the points, email me the final folio and charge the rest to the card on file. I agreed and left since I had a reservation at the Henry. Thank goodness I didnt leave the property because it was close to 3pm when I was leaving and noticed I never got the email. Walked BACK to the checkout line and waited anothe 20 minutes or so and got an agent named Ashley whom I explained the situation to. She was very professional and got on the phone, took care of the issue (turns out I wasnt even checked out), and had me out the door in minutes. Now that is efficient SERVICE. I took down her name JUST so I could name her and mention how satisfied I was. PARKING: As guests of the hotel, we were given free valet parking. However, on our second night, it was PACKED at Cosmo and we were told at 4am that valet was unavailable even to guests and that if we wanted to valet we should drive around and come back in an HOUR. Who the heck wants to drive around for an hour for valet? We self-parked but I wish they would set aside valet for guests even when its busy with visitors. Overall I would stay again just because I do love it here but we ran into MANY KINKS on this trip, more than others. Our stay at Delano the next two days was completely flawless and very different from Cosmo so that will continue to be our second home as well. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice, except the entire floor reaked of pot

Sep 22nd, 2020

Was our 3rd time staying at this property. It is nice and lively, but this time, on Labor Day 2020, we were bowled over when the elevator opened on our floor by the heavy smell of Pot. It was strong all over the floor. I tried to notify the front desk to move us and I'll I got was their digital assistant, which could not help and said to call. I called and no one would answer. We were only there for a night, so we just ran in and out of our room. As far as I know, this was a non-smoking floor, disappointing that no one could help us. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
