On the waterfront

The waterfront rooms are great. My husband was in shipping before he retired so enjoyed watching the ships go to and fro. The restaurant is very good too. I think the rooms on the road side would be quite noisy as the rail track is opposite. Is quite a pricey place. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice. Not extraordinary. Overpriced. Ambiguous & misleading room view descriptions.

Room and hotel was nice. I'd give my $500+ experience a $350 value. Paid more for a "waterfront" view (rm 312), which turned out to literally mean a view of the cement cruise dock waterfront, complete with forklift sounds in the AM and an up close and personal greeting with a cruise ship (see photo). I suppose, paying $500+ a night in a nice clean hotel next to the cruise ships is worth it for some folks. However, as for luxury and view, there are way better options elsewhere in Seattle. Watch out for roughly $100 in additonal room fees and taxes. Front desk staff could also work on respecting guest privacy a little more. We booked with a Seattle home address, which made the front desk ask us a lot of unnecessary questions about why were staying there. They also announced the bill verbally in the lobby upon check out - I would have preferred a paper bill to keep things discreet. (Was supposed to be a gift, wanted to keep the cost amount from my partner) TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Too noisy...inside and out.

Our room was on the fourth floor. It was tiny. You could not open two suitcases at once. There are steps or a ramp to navigate when you leave the lift. Our room faced the carpark and the railway. Trains ran all night as well as the bells and lights of two railway crossings. There was some sort of convention on our floor so we also had the noise of over indulged hotel guests. I think the rooms facing the sea view would be better but our room was really expensive already. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

They provided us excellent service! The staff gave us a complementary bottle of champagne for our Anniversary that was delivered to our room while we were walking the town. Clean and spacious rooms. We had a wonderful stay and would stay there again. I highly recommend this hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent!!!!

The hotel rooms are larger than the norm, with extremely comfortable beds. The toiletries items were fantastic. The hotel itself was well maintained and quiet, as well as being unique and of high quality. The gift shop was stocked with a large selection of items for everyone. All hotel staff we encountered were courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
