The Estes Park Resort

The Estes Park Resort commands 5 acres of property on Lake Estes (the only lodging on the lake) and sweeping views of Rocky Mountain National Park. There is a 3-mile hiking and biking trail around the lake, and the nearby wilderness means that it’s not uncommon to see elk on the resort lawn. Past guests loved exploring the beautiful grounds. The 54 guestrooms and suites have pillow-top mattresses, down comforters, complimentary Wi-Fi access, minifridges and coffee makers. Recent visitors warn that the first floor rooms are actually below ground level though. Guest can enjoy a fitness center and an indoor swimming pool, a hot tub and a sauna with adjoining spa treatment rooms. In-room spa treatment is available, too. The Waterfront Grille serves seasonal, locally sourced food, specialty cocktails and local micro-brews. The on-site restaurant also has a deck overlooking Lake Estes and a dining room with views of 14,255-foot-high Long’s Peak. The hotel is next to Lake Estes Marina, which offers rentals of bikes, boats (from kayaks pontoon) and fishing gear. A free shuttle can take guests to Riverwalk in downtown Estes Park which has plenty of shops, restaurants and galleries.
