Cute, boutique hotel in the heart of Whitefish
Sep 17th, 2020
We stayed for three nights at Firebrand while we explored Glacier and the town of Whitefish. The hotel is new, hip, clean and staffed with many kind, helpful, fun staff. You are walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants that Whitefish has to offer. Highlights would include a very good rooftop yoga class, awesome music in the bar by John Dunnigan (such a great performer and so much fun) and the firepits on the roof. The hotel is small, welcoming and casual. This is a bit of a contrast to its sister hotel that is more grand and formal. The rooms are clean and the beds are cozy. The bathroom are large and the showers very nice. If you are looking for an experience, I would stay at the Lodge with the lake, pools and more. However, if you want to stay in town, I believe this is the best. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Beautiful hotel with a great location

The Firebrand is a nice hotel in a great location. We walked to the great downtown area many times for dinner and drinks. We also enjoyed the hot tubs and fire pits on the rooftop. The rooms were nice and clean and the staff was very nice. We will definitely stay here again!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Nice hotel, great location in a fun, lively little town
Sep 14th, 2020
Great hotel, right in the heart of lively downtown Whitefish. Nice hotel lobby, beautiful rooftop stainless steel hot tub overlooking city, with views of Whitefish Mt to cap a relaxing evening. One block away from all the restaurants in Whitefish, great upscale dining for a little town. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Urine Soiled Sheets, Past Guest’s Medication and Floss, Rude Staff....Firebrand Staples
Sep 9th, 2020
Even after reading other bad guests reviews at the Firebrand on TripAdvisor, we figured they would have fixed the issues by the time we got there for our stay. Boy were we wrong. Upon arrival at the Firebrand we immediately were “greeted” by the front desk, who told us to wait. She was very annoyed she had to check us in. I thought to myself, well even though there’s no other guests here she might be busy doing something. I’ve worked with the public for my entire career so I always give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Also to note, she didn’t have a mask on, but there is a sign everyone is required to wear a mask. We asked for a luggage cart which infuriated her even more. Upon getting to our room, we noticed that the room wasn’t clean. There was layers of dust everywhere. Our sheets had urine on them. I called down and we were brought a second set of sheets. These was also soiled. The third set of sheets was also dirty. Did I mention housekeeping handed me to the sheets for me to make the bed myself? We found medication, used floss, and a used plastic cup on the floor on our arrival to our room. We were on the pet floor so it’s scary to think what if someone’s pet consumed that medication. We noticed that there was some items missing from the items for purchase so I called down just to let them know we didn’t use them. The front desk gentlemen was extremely rude. During our stay, I saw housekeeping and asked if I could swap my towels. The housekeeping staff rolled her eyes at me and said, “I got two, either you take it or don’t.” I was definitely not going to ask if I could empty my trash cans, after that interaction. Staff members went out of their way to avoid the guests at all costs and every interaction was not a good one. I honestly couldn’t believe that this room was that dirty and the staff was so rude. The room being so filthy was inexcusable on a normal basis, and definitely inexcusable during Covid. I did request to speak to a manager, and was told there was none on duty. No attempt to try and transfer me to their line. It was almost as if they were happy they were creating a horrible experience for the guests. I found the managers number on TripAdvisor. Called and left her a message but never heard back. I also did their survey and no call back either. We will definitely not be staying at the Firebrand ever again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
During the covid pandemic - We're out of soap
Sep 8th, 2020
That pretty much says everything. The hotel is very noisy, not clean and most of the staff very disinterested. They have made no provisions to service guests during covid - out of soap, etc. They are not cleaning the rooms during the stay, of course, but there isn't a provision to empty garbage, get fresh towels and supplies, get rid of dirty towels, etc. The room had one small bottle of each of shampoo, etc. for 4 days. You had to hunt down a housekeeper for any more supplies, towels, etc. The wet towels and garbage stayed in the room for 4 days; kind of like hotel camping. The room wasn't very clean, especially the carpets. We could note the location of our room by two huge dirt spots on the carpet in front of the door. The location is good, that's about it.
