Nice hotel

Jun 13th, 2020

I stayed here in March on a week long trip. The staff was very nice, and attentive offering tips for tours and providing us with tips regarding restaurants. The rooms were clean, if a little narrow, but I've become used to that. The restaurant in the hotel provided a free basic breakfast, but the view was the best part. The hotel is pretty centrally located and walking distance to several major attractions. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent stay. Thanks especially to Seckin Kaya for making our stay comfortable. Very helpful, polite staff. Breakfast was good, accomodations were made to our requests and suggestions. Excellent view from the eating lounge. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I the hotel very close to the city centre and the guys on the reception are gentlemen, the room very old and the bed not too much comfortable, the room wall are very thin so in the night i cant sleep very well from the voice from other room or from voice from the street, in general you feel the room and bedsheet not too much clean, i am not recommended this hotel for family but if somebody looking for something cheap its ok. Great location, fabulous roof top restaurant

Jan 12th, 2020

Just finished a four night stay in January 2020 and thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Golden Horn Hotel. It is conveniently located to the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace. The roof top restaurant has fantastic views, a good breakfast buffet in the morning and tea / coffee in the afternoon. The staff was 5 star, more than helpful with any questions on transportation, tours and shopping. There is a fantastic selection of restaurants within a 10 minute walk, use Tripadvisor to search for highest ranked restaurants, that worked every time. We would not hesitate to recommend and we will be back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

dirty hotel but great location

Dec 4th, 2019

My husband and I stayed here for 2 extra nights before heading out with our tour group. This hotel was reserved for us through our travel company as our first choice hotel was booked up. Now, I don't know what the other rooms were like, but ours was small, which we expected, but also poorly lite, dirty, old, with an in-room safe that didn't work. The side of the bathtub was about 6 inches higher than usual for in North America. Doesn't sound like much, but we're in our 60's, and there were no bars to hold on to for getting in or out of the tub. So we had to help each other in and out of the shower. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good with great views of the city. Carpets were dirty. I would not stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
