Lonely Planet

A somewhat grotty and slightly seedy location is the bane of this otherwise solid performer's existence, although all that will change in the next few years as nearby condo projects reach completion. A variety of room types up to two-bedroom suites all have free Wi-Fi, kitchenettes and marble bathrooms.

A gorgeous 30-foot facade leads into a lobby of gleaming marble and granite pillars peppered with plush furnishings. Two-room suites have spacious living rooms separated from the bedroom by French doors while oversized ambassador suites are one- or two-stories with two bathrooms and a full kitchen.

Often frequented by film types, the upscale public areas of this former RCMP headquarters feature a spacious, marble-clad lobby adorned with fresh flowers. ... Rooms are spacious and contemporary and feature wood laminate floors, Victorian-style furnishings and flat-panel TVs.
