Family holiday

I was there with my family for 5 days . Right from the beginning with a warm welcome and friendly staff . All questions were answered promptly and very efficient. Rachel Created me extremely friendly what a pleasant person helpful always with a smile ( during the corona times) I’m sure it’s not always easy . Thank you Rachel . The only real negative things was the old gentleman in the breakfast room . Unfriendly when asked a question not willing to assist or go just that small extra step ( honestly je really doesn’t look like he likes his job ) thanks again for the pleasant stay Kathy TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Decent, Friendly Staff

Stayed for 2 nights, check in staff friendly and COVID 19 precautions effective without being over the top. Clean hotel, good location short walk to local bars and restaurants. Price is fair but €22 per day parking charge. Room was large and clean comfortable bed, bathroom functional. Would stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Marriott Members-Be awarwe!!!

Recently I travelled to The Hague and decided to stay at the local Marriott once again. Upon arrival, I was greeted, as always, by the nice, warm and enthusiastic staff at the reception desk. Sadly I was told, however, that the amazing Executive Lounge with its beautiful sky-high view is currently closed. This should at least have been pointed out on the website or at some stage of the booking process as a common courtesy !! Despite the obvious inconvenience I of course understand that due to the current Covid-Crisis and the spatial limitations of the Executive Lounge some restrictions have to be taken into account, which includes adhering to the social distancing norms practiced in the Netherlands. Nevertheless, I must say that I was even more disappointed by the lack of compensation that was offered to a Platinum Elite Member and regular Marriott traveler, like myself. While breakfast remained included and I was able to join the regular breakfast buffet downstairs, the evening dinner was completely erased from the equation, which is frankly a shame. A solution was found for the breakfast buffet, so why isn’t it possible to serve lounge dinner in another area of the hotel? Surely not due to lack of space, because there is plenty including large rooms/halls in the basement or towards the terrace garden! Aside from the practicality of being offered dinner, the lounge, of course, also is a great way to get refreshments in form of beverages well into the late evening hours. A 25% voucher for the Hotel Bar in the Lobby was all that was offered. That just means I am still paying 75% of the drinks which are usually complementary with Lounge access. The least one could have done here is provide Platinum Members a daily offer of Beers or a bottle of wine per room, but simply offering a goody bag with some small snacks and a 25% voucher for the Bar is not going to do the trick, in my humble opinion… To me it seems as though Corona is used as an excuse to cut expenses. Marriotts most loyal customers seem to be the ones that have to pay the price… For these reasons I’m simply not sure if I will return The Hague in August as i had originally planned... Amazing getaway during difficult times

The Hague Marriott in Den Haag is a house of the well known quality of high grade hospitality. It's located in a green area surrounded by museums. The train and the bus stations are near by and you can get easily into the city and also to the sea. Our superior room on the 8th floor to seaside was nice, lightful and comfortable. We have spent 3 nights here. Due to 👑 the breakfast was simply organized but you had several nice options for ordering delicious meals á la carte such an excellent freshly cooked oatmeal lovely decorated with fresh berries or a fully english breakfast or an avocado-egg sandwich ... and many more good things ... Sherell welcomed us every morning with a friendly smile in the breakfast room and created for us a pleasent experience. And did you know that the Hague is the only city in the world which uses water from the dunes since 1874? And THIS UNIQUE DUNE WATER is coming out of the water tap in The Hague Marriott. BUT! the best expirience in the hotel was the contact with Gert Jan the concierge. He supported us very professional and warmhearted. Not only he was organizing for us visits and tickets for museums and tablebookings in special restaurants with preferred kitchen (which is not easy under these 👑 circumstances) he also was clearing for us a special difficult issue with our parking ticket in Utrecht where we made a shightseeing break on the way to Den Haag and wasn't able to handle the parking automat properly and so paid the parking fee stupidly twice and it was a costsensitive expensive mistake. But Gert Jan understood the matter immediately eventhough it was a complicated case and upon his intervention we got not only a superquick answer from the Gemeente Utrecht but even the money back. Unbelievable. It wouldn't have worked in Germany. It was a joy feeling to be understood and very welcome in the Hague Marriott. Thank you so much. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
