4 stay was excellent

May 9th, 2019

This really is great place to stay. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The bed was good. The building itself is older and has character. The fireplace and lounge area is very inviting. One evening we had s’mores at the fireplace organised by the staff. We played pool in the library and used the free laundry services while staying here. Everything was clean and well looked after. On the front desk Drake was excellent, always helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We would definitely stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

April 2019

The place is very well maintained, and the staff is very helpful. The parking is tight, the driveway is steep. The place is a bit away from the town section, but it is not hard to get there. They did plow the snow quickly while I was there. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A Month in Paradise

Apr 4th, 2019

We are so thankful for the staff at The Historic Crags Lodge! We have stayed at the Lodge for the past 3 weeks as our home remodel was not completed on time! It's a bit of a drive for us, but the staff is amazing and each night we return, we are welcomed and get to enjoy the scenery and the amazing lodge. We have stayed in different rooms throughout, and EVERY room has been clean, comfortable and perfect! The views from both sides are great--one overlooks the mountains, and one overlooks the city...I prefer the city--but both are wonderful. While this is not a "typical" diamond resort, it is an amazing resort to experience while enjoying Colorado and the Rocky Mountains. Thanks, Diamond, for hiring and retaining such AMAZING employees. We used our timeshare points to stay our last 2 nights here for. a bit of luxury after using motels & a hostel on the rest of our wonderful trip. A very historic hotel & very comfortable. Lovely clean room and a comfortable bed after a long drive from Fort Laramie. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Relaxing and enjoyable stay

Mar 9th, 2019

If you love historic hotels that remind you of the elegance and style of a bygone era, this is definitely worth a visit. The lobby at the Crags is dominated by a lovely fireplace, with sofas, a pool table, library and beautifully appointed bar and restaurant. The balcony outside each room overlooks the town through a deep screen of trees. Our suite had a kitchenette and small sitting area- not large but exceedingly comfortable. Well worth the visit.
