Clean and cosy

Feb 14th, 2020

Visited Plymouth on business and stayed 3 nights at the Imperial. I arrived late around 11, and the hotel reception closed earlier, however Louise left me very clear instructions to guide me to my room, and also gave me her phone number in case I needed something after the reception closed. The room was very clean and tidy. The building is from the 1800s I think, but the hotel decor was beautiful and relaxing. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was large, recently refurbished and clean. I did not try breakfast The location of the B&B is ideal, in the centre of Plymouth It is listed here as a 4 star hotel. I think this may raise the expectations of the visitors and lead to lower scores for this nice and cosy B&B. The Imperial is a very well organised and run Bed and Breakfast, and not an actual hotel like the Crown Plaza or the Hilton. The quality of the room and service is 4 star. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great place to wash away the January blues

Jan 30th, 2020

Even though a flying visit as down for one night only the location meant we were able to stroll down to the Boathouse for the party AND the morning we had the MOST glorious sunny day so walked onto the Hoe (and I was able to have a sea swim as a year round cold water swimmer) before popping back for a lovely breakfast and still able to go for another stroll before heading back mid morning. Will definitely be back for a longer stay next time after discovering this spot! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Group theatre visit

Jan 28th, 2020

We always stay here when we visit Plymouth theatre. The hosts are superb and do all they can to make your stay memorable! The rooms are well maintained and comfortable, the superb breakfast is served on a plate not from a buffet, and the location is perfect. Very close to the Theatre and the Hoe. Who could ask for more? All 11 of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Welcoming, homely, clean and comfortable

Jan 23rd, 2020

Although only here for one night, I was welcomed by the proprietor and made to feel immediately at home. The room was quiet, comfortable, clean with all the amenities I needed. I was also given great advice on a walk I could take to visit the sea. Highly recommend this guest house - amazing breakfast too! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
